a common aspect of an NDE is the sensation of unconditional love.. or is that just the devil tryin' to trick us into thinking that God loves people of all religions?

and we are not talking about drug-induced hallucinations, but rather those who experienced via temporary death or through out of body perception (through meditation or other means)

Take the Bible for what it says:

"David...is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day." "For David is not ascended into the heavens." Acts 2:29,34

"If I wait, the grave is mine house." Job 17:13

"...the dead know not any thing..." Ecclesiastes 9:5

"So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more." Job 14:12

The heavens will pass away when Christ comes to resurrect the dead. (2 Peter 3:10)

Jesus called death a sleep in John 11:11-14

The dead are resurrected and go to heaven at the same time as the living when Jesus returns. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 ("prevent" in verse 15 means precede (go before))

So if the dead don't know anything and are asleep in the grave until the resurrection when all who followed God go to heaven, then how can there be NDE's? It's the devils tricks. Like he told Eve, "Ye shall not surely die." (Genesis 3:4) And people are believing it because they are not searching out the truth in the Bible.

I'm a Christian, and I do not think NDE's are from the devil - in fact, I used to go to the NDE meetings held in Havertown, PA, USA every month. Ever read a book by Dr. Moody called "Life after Life"??? Well, all of the subjects in that book were present each month at those meetings I went to.
They were of different professions, and were all very sensible, grounded individuals - but none of their stories even mentioned religions per se - but definitely God and Angels were present in many, if not most.
One thing that was really cool, was that not one of those people wear a watch.

They seem undecided-I've seen a couple of Christian websites that are pretty neutral in their opinions of NDEs.

No. The devil's trick is that God is tricking you. God loves you. Satan hates you. Period.
