My doctor prescribed avelox400mg for my chest cold and I almost die. The nite I took it my heart started racing and I started vomitting, stomach started cramping, I couldn't breathe - felt like I was choking, anixeity set in, and i was rushed to the hospital. Maybe it was just me but I would not advise a DOG to take this prescription. And just to think the doctor wanted to give me an injection in his office instead of the pills. Next time I have a cold, I will treat it with old folk remedies and kept the Hell out of any doctor office.

Chest colds do not require the antibiotic Avelox, however bronchitis and pneumonia do require antibiotics.

The next time you have a "chest cold" you need to tell everyone that you cannot tolerate Avelox.

Doctors prescribe antibiotics when they can either hear the rattle in your lungs or have seen a chest xray that indicates bronchitis or pneumonia.

Your understanding of the difference between a cold and an infection is not good. Colds are not cured with antibiotics, and not all antibiotics will make you sick. *You are allergic to Avelox* You were given Avelox because you have an upper or lower respiratory infection - Avelox is designed for that. It's a specialty drug, for lung or sinus infection.

If you still have your "chest cold" you could have pneumonia and if left untreated you could die. You are exposing everyone to your illness if you have not been properly treated for your infection, also.

You should consider wearing a Medic Alert bracelet so you never receive Avelox again.

hehe yeah for colds and flu's i would just use old folks remedies is the best :D,

but the doctor that prescribed u avelox thought u had a bacteria infection, now u do need medication if u have a bacteria infection :P,

but unfortunatly one of the side effects of avelox which is heart problems and its rare which is just what u experienced, im so sorry u had to go through.

but if u have a cold just tell ure doc ure alergic to avelox, or cant tolorate it due to its side effect.
and they may do more test to see what else u might be alergic to.
but dnt worry, no need to blank out the doc completly!

take it easy keep smiling :)

WOW! I see the stupid element even with each thing those years. i presumed it grew to become into touching on a literal "foxhole" as in international war One. yet, now I see that the word is in accordance with 2 words ... fox and hollow ... which could truthfully propose a literal hollow owned via a fox. properly, how would a fox very own something besides its fur? I propose the hollow is interior the floor and does he/she have a written documentation of possession like a deed OR can the fox even study or write. I see now how stupid this finished difficulty is and that i greet your perceptiveness with the tribute of a celebrity given FOR SILLINESS.

I have taken ten days of the same medication and have not had the slightest ill effect. It got rid of my sinusitis.
