Here are some of the most common foods/spices that are high in iron:

Thyme
Curry Powder
Oat & Wheat Bran
Cinnamon
Rosemary
Paprika
Bran Flakes
Special K Cereal
Bran Wheat
Sesame Seeds
Liquorice
Cashews
Figs
Apricots
Hazelnuts
Almonds
Red Kidney Beans

So when you want a snack, grab some apricots, figs, or nuts. try having Chilli or a bowl of Special K cereal every day. Be creative. If all else fails, you can buy Iron pills at the pharmacy right off the counter. Just be sure to eat lots of extra fiber if you significantly increase your Iron intake.

Leafy green vegetables like spinach, kale, Romaine lettuce and the darker ones contain a lot of iron, and they are a free food, you can eat all you want and not gain from them.
If you need an iron supplement make sure you are iron deficient first because too much iron isn't good either
Fish is a source of iron also.

Red meat. It doesn't have to be greasy...you can choose lean cuts and broil or grill it instead of frying.

You shouldn't take an iron supplement unless you are under a doctor's supervision. Too much iron can be dangerous.

Liver is a great source of iron, if you can get it down. Otherwise, beef, chicken and beans and lentils are high in iron. There is always the option of taking a multi-vitamin with iron in it.

Eat more red meat (e.g. Beef), and things like Liver (looks kind of like the aftermath of a chainsaw massacre when cooking it, but very tasty when cooked). Also Spinach.

There's also this stuff called "Floradix" http://www.florahealth.com/flora/home/canada/products/r4771.asp
