Brent ~
In my opinion, this would be a great fight. I would have to give the edge to "Little Red" I think his height and punching power would be the biggest difference.

Danny "Little Red" was tough as nails a loved to stand there and swap punch for punch and blood for blood. The war he had with a young Bobby Chacon is still being felt by Chacon today, some experts say that it was "Little Red" that is responsible for the severe pugilistic dementia that Bobby suffers from today.

Azumah was a sharp and had a way with adjusting to any ones style. When Azumah fought Salvador Sanchez he was brought in as an opponent but showed his toughness by fighting and not running. Jeff Fenech gave Azumah problems when they fought beating Azumah once out of their two meetings and Fenech was no where near Lopez as far as talent goes.

The fight would be a pretty competitive battle for the first 5 or 6 rounds but after that the effect of Lopez's harder punches would be evident by the swelling around Azumahs eyes. Lopez would have no problem of cutting off the ring on the smaller Nelson. Forever the warrior Azumah would fight back but a victory wouldn't be his on this night.

Lopez in a 15 round unanimous decision.

Thanks for the question Brent.

A great match up and a great question. The blogbaba has to believe Danny "little red" Lopes would out hustle Azumah, but the professor would be there at the end. Lopez by a close decision.

Hey Brent this is a good question and matchup. I would like to say welcome back to our old friend Santana who gave another one of his outstanding answers. Lopez was a very tough fighter and could really bang. Nelson was also very tough but I don't think he could match Lopez's power. I believe that this would be a close fight with both men having moments during the fight and a lot of brilliant exchanges. In the end though the power of Lopez and his height and reach advantage would be the diference as he captures a close decision.

Would be a good fight but I think Lopez has too much power for Nelson resulting in a unanimous decision for Lopez

Very good question.I think Nelson wins by late round stoppage or close decision in a good fight.
