It is very good quiting smoking. But people say they are quitting but after some time they start smoking again. SO AFTER QUITING DO NOT TOUCH A CIGARETTE AGAIN. This is my advice. Here are some tips-

How do you give up your cigarettes for good and never go back to them again?

Tell your friends and neighbors that you're quitting. Doing so helps make quitting a matter of pride.

Chew sugarless gum or eat sugar-free hard candy to redirect the oral fixation that comes with smoking. This will prevent weight gain, too.

Eat as much as you want, but only low-calorie foods and drinks. Drink plenty of water. This may help with the feelings of tension and restlessness that quitting can bring. After eight weeks, you'll lose your craving for tobacco, so it's safe then to return to your usual eating habits.

Stay away from situations that prompt you to smoke. Dine in the nonsmoking section of restaurants.

Spend the money you save not smoking on an occasional treat for yourself.-

How long has it been since you quit? The first week is definitely the most difficult, so getting through these first seven days is crucial. You might want to change your daily routine, avoid situations/places where smoking is likely, exercise (think fresh air!), eat healthy snacks, and/or try some sort of nicotine replacement therapy (chew gum, wear a patch, or try a nasal spray/inhaler) . Whatever you do - keep your mind occupied to avoid the urge to smoke.

It will get a little bit easier every day and the cravings will subside.
Usually, the worst is over after the first week. Try to follow the tips mentioned above and in the following article: http://heart.health.ivillage.com/smokingcessation/smokingcessation.cfm. It may also help to join a support group or lean on friends and family during this difficult period.

In the meantime, give yourself a pat on the back and know that you have taken the first step to a longer, healthier life - Congratulations!

Do not look back and start smoking again. When you see somebody smoking, think how foolish you were before to indulge in such harmful acts and invited injuries to health. Thank God for giving you strength to quit smoking and continue to hate smoking.

First thing, pat yourself on the back. Then figure out what you are going to do in place of smoking cigarettes? Stick with the plan and stick with being smoking-free.

Enjoy your new, healthier lungs, your ability to breathe easier, and overall, having a healthier body. Start exercising, and eat healthy foods. Find some hobbies, too. Congratulations and good luck to you!! You will never be sorry you quit, and your overall health will now start to improve.
