I'm getting tired of Christians telling me that I'll go to hell if I don't accept their godman, Jeezus.

I believe in God, just not yours. I get really annoyed when they tell me to read their bible...first of all it's not their bible it's the Tanakh and that "New Testament" is an offense to the "Old" one. They're saying that God's word has become "old" and is not valid anymore. Why do they even do this? It's just another attempt to oppress the Jews.

gee.....I don't remember ever thinking that or saying that. I am a Christian.
You are terribly mis-informed.
God says that YOU were born with an evil nature,
not that you are necessarily evil. Many people live a very good life with that evil nature but it is there nonetheless.

If you do believe in God, then you do believe in my God for there is only one true God Jehovah.

gee.....I don't remember ever thinking or saying that the Old Testament, God's Word", has gotten old. Far from it, it is as much God's Truth as is the New Testament. You are, again, terribly mis-informed.

Oh, and my Jesus is not a godman. Jesus Christ is God, part of the three-part godhead refered to in the Bible as The Holy Trinity.

If you are a Jew, one would think you would have recognized by now that you and I serve the same God, even though we call Him by different names and serve Him in different ways.

My God is the God of the Old Testament, too.
You do me an injustice when you attack me.
As you are one of God's chosen people, I have the utmost respect for you, your beliefs, and OUR COMMON God.
TRUE Christians are your friends, not your enemies. I would hope you will reconsider your position.
I think OUR God would be pleased by that.

Actually, be believe that ALL humans are evil, including Christians like us.

We think that the only way into Heaven is to get your sins forgiven, since you can never be totally sin-free (this is not an excuse for guilt-free indulgence in sin, it is just an acknowledgment of human weakness). You cannot "earn" your forgiveness by doing good works, because:

(i) no ones motives are ever completely pure, then even when you do something good, you are also doing something evil that has to be made up for (you are simply digging your hole deeper); and,

(ii) doing good is simply doing your duty; you cannot do God a favor by doing something good. If a cop pulled you over for speeding, you couldn't get out of it by saying, well at least I didn't rob a bank -- doesn't that make up for it? Actually, no. You are supposed to be doing good all of the time, so doing good does not make up for the fact that you failed to do good some other time.

-------------edit----------

Actually, it was the Jewish prophets who referred to the Old Testament as "old" since they promised that there would come a day when God replaced the Old Covenant with a New Covenant. So, according to your logic, the Jews are oppressing themselves, since they are the ones who came up with the idea of a future "new" convent.

In response to "J.P." 's comments, above:

"What's really fun is to point out that the genealogies of Jesus include Jeconiah, who was cursed by God that none of his descendants would ever be Mosiach, let alone HaMosiach. Further, Jesus's geneologies do not include Solomon, and Solomon was required."

The same genealogy that includes "Jeconiah" also includes "Solomon". See Matthew 1:6. And the curse upon Jeconiah was upon his "seed", which is normally interpreted to be the blood descendent. That is why Jesus is considered to be born of a virgin (you did realize that there had to be a reason for that?) -- Jesus inherents the title but not the curse.

Christians might use the word evil to describe everyone. Everyone's in the same boat because everyone's at some point rejected God's authority over their lives - that's the definition of evil. The OT hasn't stopped being true, but it was pointing towards Jesus, and the way that people can relate to God has changed because of him. The reason Christians would have to say that those who don't accept Jesus is that we're all separated from God because of our rejection of him, and there's nothing we can do to sort out that mess. We need to be forgiven, and that can only be done because Jesus was punished instead of us. God is just.

What's really fun is to point out that the geneologies of Jesus include Jeconiah, who was cursed by God that none of his descendants would ever be Mosiach, let alone HaMosiach. Further, Jesus's geneologies do not include Solomon, and Solomon was required.

Jesus could not have been HaMosiach. He was a descendant of Jeconiah and not of Solomon... both of which condemn him.

He was thus a false prophet.

JC Follower:

How can there be a New Covenant when God Himself said that the covenant you call the 'Old Covenant' was Eternal and Everlasting?

-----------

Randy G:

Every single time a 'New' Covenant was spoken of, the context was that of REnewing the Eternal and Everlasting Covenant because the Jews had fallen away from it, and God, Ever-Faithful, was about to bring the Jews back to it.

It's amazing what a few choice mistranslations can do to the meaning of a text.

---------------

Randy G:

Either the two geneologies are proof of contradiction in the NT, or we must assume that the one in Matt and the one in Luke describe Mary and Joseph separately.

Since neither geneology meets both requirements (not blood descend from Jeconiah, and passing through Solomon [mary's passes through Nathan instead]), Jesus is ineligable, virgin birth or no.

That's not even getting into the fact that a virgin birth violated the OT's definition of 'a sign', unless you wish to assert Mary spread her legs and all the Jewish adult males of the time walked past to inspect her hymen. A sign, in the OT, was for all people of the time, everywhere, to personally see and witness.

If I had a will for my children and circumstances changed etc. I would update my Will or my testament. That doesn't mean it's against the other, it just means there is a better way or will or promise. What don't you get? I don't think those who don't believe in Jesus are Evil. Evil means to do harm to another. I just believe God's Word. It indeed says in his "new testament" there is no way to God the Father, without going through His Son, Jesus. So that would mean those who do not accept God's Son have no payment for their sins, and will have to pay for them, themsleves. The penalty for sin is death or eternal separation from God. I'd rather not chance it.
How would you feel if you went to pay someone else's time in prision for their release and they chose not to be released? God made that way through His Son Jesus and if you reject it, you reject the same God you believe in.

Ha, ha...you made a funny.

The Old Testament means the Old Covenant. The New Testament means The New Covenant. There's nothing to oppress the Jews.

You have free will and choice...and we will all be held accountable for our decisions.

First of all; it is wrong for anyone to make that kind of a judgement against someone! Nobody should tell someone they are going to hell! Only God decides that. I agree that Christians should spread the gospel. We are instructed to do so. However, we should always be meek and passive about it. We should never try to "force" our opinion on someone. God gave man free will! Which means its up to the individual! You have the right to believe what you want to believe! Its not my job to force you to believe what I do!

I'm a Christian and I don't think that all non-Christians are going to hell. I am half Jewish myself, and some of my relatives and best friends are Jews.

Jews do not need to accept Christ as their savior because they are the chosen people of God. It's only the gentiles who need the intervention of a savior.
