I'm not suggesting that you don't get a tattoo, since I love the ones I have, but I have a video to watch before you do,, enjoy!! http://gprime.net/video.php/tattooremover

That sounds like a fair price as long as your tattooist does good work. Is this your first tattoo? If so, be in for a world of pain! As long as you aren't tattooed on your ribs or the nipple/areola itself, it shouldn't be TOO bad, but the breast itself can be really tender, especially right underneath. Just make sure you are super-happy with the location and don't be afraid to tell your artist that you aren't happy with the placement if you aren't...

A pair of horizontal nipple piercings could go along nicely with this... I've seen both snake and dragon nipple shields and it could be a nice touch, perhaps one of each?

You'll probably be in for multiple sittings, though outlines can go quickly. Your body can only handle so long before going into shock or not being able to take anymore. If you take a 30 minute break, that doesn't mean you can tattoo an extra 30 minutes. Just make sure to spend enough time between sittings to heal and *please* tip your artist in some way. Cookies, extra cash, or something you know (s)he enjoys would be greatly appreciated.

whoa. sounds like a nice tattoo...
well first off you better make sure this is what you want, im not tryin to sound lke your mother- but when your an old granny do you want to be all shriveled up with a dragon\snake from your back to your nipple?
but back to your question...for a tattoo that large- 1200 is a pretty good price!!
You may be able to find it cheaper, but its most likely that the parlor will be very crappy.
when it comes to something permanent on your body- you cant ever be too safe. make sure the place where you get it is clean and if you have any insecurites- leave.

but 1200 bucks IS worth it if you really want it.

Hi Bunnie, If you get a good artist you are going to have to pay for his work. I would say if you really want this tat( which i think is prettty cool) pay the $1200. I really think you will be please. Have the artist draw out a picture of what he is going to tattoo on you. That way if you don't like a certain part of the tat you can have him change it. You know you will probably have to have at least 2 or 3 setting to complete your tat. Good luck and Welcome To The World Of Tattoos. I have 5 tats myself. A Friend.

1200 isn't outrageous for something that big. When I was looking for someone to do a full back tat for me (getting prices/checking out their style/ability) the cheapest I found was going to be $120 an hour - at approx 4 hours a set and 4 sets! I am still saving to be able to get it done. So, no.. that is not a ridiculous sum to pay... it is forever. I think it will look really cool though.. go for it!

I think it's very imaginative. But think about it....at any given time, there will only be PARTS of the tat showing and it might lose its effect that way...unless of course, you plan on going completely topless all the time.

On the other hand, seeing different parts of it might be a really intriguing teaser...everyone will wonder what the full tat looks like in all its glory (lol)!!!

$1200 is a lot of money....think long and hard about it, and make sure you go to a GOOD artist.

Shop around, why I'll bet you can find somebody to do it for half the price.....and you will end up with a piece of crap for a tattoo (only it won't be a small piece of crap you can get covered....but a GIANT piece of crap) Seriously dude....I'm all for saving money...using coupons and doing comparative shopping....but NOT FOR A TATTOO. Use the best artist you can afford. If you find an artist that you like better and he wants $2,000 PAY IT. You are going to be much happier with an expensive tattoo that you love.....rather than a poorly done tattoo that you saved big bucks on. Remember the saying "A Good Tattoo ain't Cheap and A Cheap Tattoo ain't Good."

firstly... is it in color or graywash? in color thats' a STEAL in graywash it's a fair price. also if you are getting a tattoo that big also make sure it's a good artist, see their portfolio, check if they have done any big pieces in the style that you want. this is a tattoo you DEFINATELY do not want done by an amatuer or someone who does't have experiance in the style or size. o and one more thing if it's color definately check out their color work, it's a whole different ball game from graywash (black).

If you have a skilled artist doing it, its going to be awesome. Its understandable to have doubts when spending that kind of money on a tattoo, but do your research on the artist and you'll love the outcome. Good luck.

Sounds like a fair price to me. I think it would look great. If you get it done you will have to post some pics.

Sounds like a big tat and it $1200 sounds like a fair price. However, in your case the money would be better spent on a class in remedial spelling.
