My favourite quote is Lord Acton's epic warning that "power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." I think that more people should know about this quote 'cause it is true. What is yours though?

My word, i could be here all day reciting my collection of quotes that i have accumulated so far...
Here are some of my many favourites...

“If you cannot say what you mean, then you cannot mean what you say.”

“If you want the rainbow, you’re gonna have to put up with the rain.”

“If you want what you’ve never had, you’re going to have to do what you’ve never done before."

“The last place finisher always beats the non-starter.”

"Never be afraid to feel afraid."

And

The definition of success: "To laugh often and much; to win respect of intelligent people and the affections of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give one's self; to leave the world a little better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition.; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm, and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived, this is to have succeeded." Emerson.

Believe me i have many more!!

" You cannot get ahead while you are getting even. "

It has also be observed that it is not the power doing the corrupting. Rather, that people who who are already inclined to be corruptible are attracted to the acquisition of power in the first place.

Also, "Never moon a werewolf." Mike Binder

Dolce et decorum est pro patri mori

Its the grandest and most brutal lie ever told. Heavy weighs the burden on those words.

But coming out with a bit of Latin makes you look smart in front of the ladies though!

I just read this quote about tolerance:
We as a people are a lot like crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colours...but they have to learn to live in the same box.

Hey, I don't have all the answers. In life, to be honest, I've failed as much as I've succeeded. But I love my wife. I love my life. And I wish you my kind of success.

(It's from the movie Jerry Maguire)
