In Yahoo! Answers we've seen that the majority of non-Muslims speak ignorantly and absurdly about the greatest of all God's creations; the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This has revealed the deep bigotry these people hold towars Islam, the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) and the whole Islamic world.

Perhaps these people do not even know that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was greatly admired by countless famous and respected personalities of their own civillizations. Here is a small list of intellectuals of the world and what they've said about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). I hope the non-Muslims would read this and change their blind hatred towards Islam into a more tolerable view. All those intellectuals were non-Muslims.

It should be noted that there were much more non-Muslim intellectuals who praised the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). I hope to send you more of these famous people'scomments later.

I am sorry that fundamentalists from Christianity can not be respectful. Just like Islamic extremists, they think they are the only true members of our faith. I see no reason to alienate Muslims. Not everyone will do this. My advice is to ignore the people that are only seeking conflict. This forum changes by the minute and sometimes is very positive and other times is mostly foolishness. I am in favor of respectful interfaith dialog for the purpose of promoting mutual understanding and peace. God Bless you.

Here's a big problem I have the the religion of Islam;
They claim the bible of today is a lie and that is has been changed even though we have over 5000 documents showing the bible today is the same as years ago.

We also have the dead sea scrolls The Scrolls are for the most part, written in Hebrew, but there are many written in Aramaic. Aramaic was the common language of the Jews of Palestine for the last two centuries B.C. and of the first two centuries A.D. They were written about 60 AD.
Mohammad was born 560 AD.
The scrolls show Abraham almost sacrificed Isaac(his descendants were Jews) NOT Ishmael ( his descendants were non Jews). What does this say?

How can you say the Koran is the truth and the bible is a lie when we have TONS of documents to prove it's authenticity?
Mohammad may have seen an angel but he wasn't' from the true God!

Sure, are muslims ready to accept criticism about there prophet? I personally have nothing good to say about him. I guess his teachings led the west to step out of the dark ages and look to science to save them instead of God. I don't think mohammad was good becasue he was a conqueror, he had to attack the city of Mecca to make them beleive and he then led his army all over the Arabian penninsula. He also made a deal with the Meccan's that there black rock would continue to make them money from tourism (holy pilgrimage) and said always to keep a sword by your side. Non of this adds up to a supposedly peacfull person. also the part to defend islam and islamic lands at all cost that is used by modern terrorist is another example of hate, especially when everything islam has was taken by force. Can you tell me of one country to peacfully convert to islam? Jesus on the other hand did only peacfull things and is open to criticism from any and all. Please look inside of a history book about the spread of Islam and the conditions that allowed it before you blindly adhere to the falsehoods of the religion.

It is sometimes difficult for christians, atheists, and many other peoples of the world, to have a tolerant attitude about Islam knowing this about the Prophet Muhammad.

But I, myself - will do my very best to be Very Patient, and Very Tolerant toward all muslims, because muslims, like all human beings - want to be free from suffering, want Peace of Mind and want to be Happy in their Lives. ALL Human Beings, simply want to be free from suffering, want peace of mind, and Happiness in Life.

So please forgive me, if I have been intolerant at times in the past toward muslims. I, myself, am a Mahayana Buddhist and Buddhists are to always practice Patience AND Tolerance toward all religions, and all people. I am a new Buddhist, so please be very patient, and try and find it in your heart to forgive me for my past intolerance. Thank You for the sites you provided. I did read them, and they do help very much, providing insight, and a new perspective on muslims, and Islam. Try your best to have an Optimistic Attitude in life toward all people, realizing that there are good people, and bad people in all religions, and those who have no religion, and have no Optimistic Philosophy of Life. Thank You, and have a Great Week.

P.S. - and I agree with Naush. Her answer provides you with much wisdom, = not to post such a question any more, only because some answers will give Islam, and its prophet a bad name. Your a unique person, who has so much to offer others in life, & to show forth your peaceful, and very optimistic attitude in order to draw other people into your faith. I respect you very much, and Thank You for your Question.

What did they have to say about him marrying a 6 year old child?

There were and still exist countless famous and respected personalities that disdain Islam and it's prophet and ... ?

I would list some very vocal opponents of Islam and prophet mohamads teachings but ... oh that's right they were murdered by Muslims... oh what a pity...

As a concerned Muslim, I completely understand of your point of view. But I think it's best that you don't post question like these anymore, because no matter what the truth is... people will still be against Prophet Muhammed (SAW), and call him a pervert, molester, warlord, terroist etc.

They're blinded, and twist things around to deliberately deface Islam; they can't even show some sketch of respect.

It's people with REAL intelligence who see Muhammad for what he was, a simple con man who used children for his own perverted pleasure. Reading about a bunch of easily-led morons will not change my opinion. I won't even bother to look at your list. EDIT....AN ANT......Thank you for your very informative link

oh, but we already do.
just because you do not like the truth
does not mean it is not the truth.
what so-called human intellectuals have
to say on the matter counts for naught.
it is what Jehovah God says that matters.
but, you would like that even less.
you have the right to worship whatever false gods
and prophets you wish to worship.
just do not confuse that human foolishness with theTruth of the one true Living God Jehovah.

I only praise God. muhammad deserves nothing from me. I don't base my faith on the opinions of other people. I am not gullible but apparently you hope others are. islam is not a continuation of Christianity despite what you and others that are misled and deceived say.

May God Bless you.
