does anyone else think some pictures of jesus are scary looking? i think the most scary ones are the ones when he's on the cross when his eyes are wide. some pictures of him look nice some of them look scary lol.

Yes, it is odd that this is overlooked. The act of torturing that man to "death" or almost to death is the most horrendous most barbaric thing. I don't like to keep that image of Lord Jesus around. I prefer better images of him. And some groups come up with so many excuses why they think it is alright to display Lord Jesus in that way.

Those are just paintings...no real nor any factual truth in them.
For one....look at those pictures then the Shroud of Turin. It doesn't match. But the Shourd of Turin does match the description of Jesus in the Bible.
I will wait for Jesus with long white hair and eyes of fire (lanterns) as the book speaks...not the image that "man" has painted.

Yes some of them do look scary. I think the scariest ones are the ones that are a gruesome picture of his crucifixition and I get scared thinking about how I was supposed to die the same death.

I''ve seen really scare ones of jesus and the virgin mary...I dunno..those religious statues are creepy most of the time, in or out of the church. What happened to keeping things simple...

The velvet paintings of Jesus scare me, just in their sheer tackiness.
