I'm going to go to a house party thing next saturday, I really want to to extend my tiny friend circle by meeting friends of friends and all that.

Now most of the people there like already know each other and everything, and the "games" can get you know, a bit intimate and "full on", like kissing people and stuff. My more conservative sexuality and stuff won't be doing me any favours when it comes to this.

I don't wanna be the only person who leaves before those kind of games happen, but yeah it's not my thing, I just can't turn it down because of the friends oppurtunity, any way of slipping away without seeming rude or stupendously frigid?

Tough one... if you're not willing (or just don't want to) overcome your shyness and join in those reindeer games, then you should just be honest and say no thank you, you're not comfortable playing like that. But hang around and enjoy the rest of the party, the activities you CAN feel good about. You may just find you're not the only one who feels that way!

go with the previous engagement excuse...
and you don't have to lie about it either....it can be walking a dog, meeting another friend at the movies, or even that you need to go make sure the kettle/ coffee pot was not left on.

In the meanwhile, try to see who else leaves before the games begin and try to make friends with them.
Since you are Conservative, maybe you can find a single or youth group that you can join at the YMCA or something like that..

I agree with the first guy, why do you want to be friends with people that you cannot relate to?

If they are already busy kissing & stuff, then they probably won't notice when you leave anyway since they are preoccupied.

if someone says something, just tell them that you "have to go now" (or that you "had to go", if they ask you the next day). If they ask again, just say the same thing, "I just had to go". Most people won't ask for specifics.

Just say it is time to be going. Or stick around and watch the fun. No one will force you to participate and if they try, why would you want to hang around with them?

Sounds like a trashy party, imo.

Are these the kind of friends you really want?

If you think you really need to go, just say you have another engagement and have to leave when things get weird.

tell that you have to take care of your sick grandmom, or that you have to go to work because your friend is sick and you need to cover him so that he doesn't lose his job. I always say something like this when i need to leave a company of this kind. Girls will love you. You have to look really sorry and eager to stay when you say it.
hope this helps
