None of these people are telling you a LOW maintaince Cut!! I am a Stylist... and I notice with little kids the hair grows Twice as fast as in Adults! Sad but TRUE the new Style for Boys is a Longer Shag look! (I hate it, but everyone asks for it) and they come in about every other month to get a bit cut off!

I am SURE you know of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody- its the boys Haircut!

I give my son a "high and tight" hair cut. It's shaved all around almost to the skin at the bottom, about 1/16 of an inch on the sides and I blend it into 1/4-1/2 inch hair on top. It's super cute, low maintenence and if I choose, I can put a little product in it and make it into a spikey messy look or even a mohawk (the mohawk is my favorite.) His daddy has the same style (sans the mohawk) which is testament to it's simplicity because my husband wears a flight cap all day. =)

A buzz cut with little spikes at the top. This allows for low maintenance plus little boys like being able to put gel in their hair to get the spikes to stand up.

buzz cuts always look unkept when growing out. a typical buzz is all of the hair one length all over. the sides will seem longer than the rest, therefor looking unkept and in dire need of a trim. I always shoot for a fade, it lasts longer than a buzz because the edges are tapered, and that will give you another week or two of new growth before he will need a fresh shape up.

my son always got his hair cut very short...almost military..he kept a couple inches of bangs so he could spike it with a little gel. it looked really good and he spent almost no time on his hair.
