I don't like the color and the bottle says it will wash out after 28 shampoos. Is there a product or household product that can take it out faster?

I worked in a salon(not as a stylist but as a nail tech.....thanks "laren" for pointing out the obvious) and what they did there was use Dawn dishwashing soap. You put it on dry hair and it will strip some of the color out.

It will also leave you hair dry, so use a deep conditioner afterwards (which should also get rid of some of the color)

Re: I worked in a salon and what they did there was use Dawn dish washing soap. You put it on dry hair and it will strip some of the color out. <---- NO NO NO!! "Working" in a Salon is MUCH different than being a Stylist!!

I AM a Stylist and I would suggest something VERY Simple! Go get yourself Halo Clarify shampoo OR any Clarify Shampoo! Go get it at ANY Salon in your area or a Trade Secret should carry it too! Also- Try a V05 Hot Oil Treatment- I've said this in a post before but I'll say it again. Your Hair strand is like a Sponge- you can only hold so much water! In order to put something IN something else has to come out! So when you put Hot Oil IN your hair Remaining Color Molecules are being pushed out!

& This is what we do at a Salon when you dont want to Damage the Hair strand! & you NEVER want to put your Hair in Jeopary!

* Dont forget to Condition!

Apparently, anti-dandruff shampoo will hasten the process. Or perhaps wash your hair 28 times? Daft perhaps but it might work. Other options involve re-dying another colour that you do like, or go to the hairdresser and ask them to strip the colour ( altho this can be rough on your hair)
Good luck!

Mix your shampoo with alittle 20 volume peroxide, let it sit on hair for about 5-10 minutes & rinse.

I've also had the hair color freak-out, and dishwashing liquid did wonders! Just be sure to deep condition your hair when you're done because I'm sure it will be pretty dried out.

try prell shampoo. I was told not to use it when I got my hair colored as it takes the color out.
