Mr. O, are you for real? have you even followed this case or bothered to inform yourself? The case never did hold water. Initially there was plenty of cause for reasonable doubt. After the trial 3 jurors came forward to state they wanted to change their verdict. They were coerced into voting guilty. They were lied to by the prosecution in that they were told they HAD to vote guilty that there could not be a hung jury. The Judge REFUSED to declare a mis-trial.

Now we know that the DHS LIED, the drug smuggler definitely lied, the prosecution lied, the whole case was based on lies.

Why are the Dems silent? well actually some of them have made token efforts to make it appear that they are concerned but in reality they don't want to risk losing their illegal alien voters. Yes illegal aliens do vote. There is nothing to stop them from registering because it is against the law to ask for proof of citizenship. So what is the worst that can happen if they get caught? maybe they will get deported, but then again they would get deported anyway.

They're pansies man. They have been bought and paid for. They need to be gotten rid of. Once people wake up and realize the full truth about their party, as well as have a memory retention span of longer than 2 seconds, the democrats will be done. And they know it. the republicans have already sealed their fate. We need to start thinking outside the two party ideology. Do this, and things will begin to change, real change. Not smoke and mirrors. Frankly, i could care less how much money a candidate raises, it just tells me they are a better thief, and thus will not get my vote. i'm going to vote for the person who supports and protects the constitution of these United States, not some special interest driven baby kisser. Ramos and Compean SHOULD NOT even have been prosecuted on this matter. It's just flat freakin stupid.

As unfair as this concern appears, the biggest fear our government has is that it can somehow be bamboozled into changing it own ways. My gosh, that would appear to be a fair Democracy. The world gone MAD!
Our current leader and his gun slinger approach to problems will never let this happen in h is time and space. That's now, in case you didn't know it.

When he is out, the next perpetrator er' I mean President will probubly cast a golden veil of penance and release the men. In the mean time, our highly trained incarceration folks will hopefully do THEIR jobs properly. They already blew that too. And keep these men safe and sound.

A failure at this could cause a major explosion in the USA in my opinion. All these inequities keep adding up. The pots going to blow if enough of this sort of nuttsy stuff doesn't stop soon. I can't believe the GB consortium doesn't know this. But I worry about what appears to be a crazed mad man at the helm who will want to appear as if he can do as he pleases. Oh, you don't think that's the truth ...watch THIS!

The guns loaded, it's pointing at your brain ...and the derranged killer is sweating bullets ...and his hands are shaking.

They should have never been put in jail in the 1st place!! They are protecting America and this is what they get?????????

The DA who brought charges against them should be embarrassed and ashamed of himself!! He needs to be out of a job yesterday!!

How can a known drug dealer get immunity?????????
No wonder the American justice system is so messed up!!!!

Also think Republicans are silent about the issue. Someone asked Pres Bush about it and he said he would "look into it". But that was a few weeks ago, how's that working out??

I think they will be freed. They did not commit any crimes but they failed to follow guidelines after a shooting. They should have been given administrative punishment but to be put in prison for doing their job is wrong. The politicians don't want to take a side in this issue because it is too charged politically and no matter what side they take they will offend someone. If they don't have to take a side publicly most will just remain silent.

This is one of those issues like Elvira Arelleno. They have let it get out of control and don't know what to do about it. If they let them go it will make a lot of people look incompetent and corrupt. It will also go against their not so secret open border policy, and it will encourage citizens to think that their opinion actually matters. If they don't they will turn them into martyrs, especially if they 'let' or cause one or both of them to die to make this situation go away. It seems like these men's rights are being violated in their current environment and they aren't able to keep information from getting to the public about it. Also many people lied to get them convicted. It will be interesting to see how they deal with this. We are all watching and waiting.

From what I have read it seems like to a certain extent they were just doing their job. It's when they broke protocol is when they got in trouble.

1) shooting someone in the buttocks, obviously the guy was running away, not sure how the agents felt threatened by that.

2) they picked up the shells afterwards and omitted some facts from the report.

They knew they did something they were not suppose to do and tried to clean it up.

Quilty!, they should do thier time in jail.

It would be good for them to be released. Something like this happens and you wonder who's working for these drug lords.

My husband is in the US Coast Guard and I asked him if what they did was right? and he said no..they should've known better than to shoot while the suspect was fleeing. Both agencies work under the DHS.They go through similar training when it come to this.
