Why are you with someone who does drugs? Get rid of him.

No. Babies are affected by the mother's drug use only because they share blood during pregnancy. Your daughter's temper might be related to her homelife (if there is a lot of yelling) or might just be her personality. Children are BORN with a personality and can be easy going or really sensitive to change. If she is having a lot of outbursts, try to give her small choices (not anything that matters of course) like picking between 2 pairs of shoes. Giving her control over something small can distract her from the bigger issues that she has no control over and divert a tantrum. ALSO- its really important not to respond to tantrums at all (unless she needs to be removed for her safety). Its the best way to teach her that tantrums and foul temper doesnt get her any attention.

GOOD LUCK!

And everything everyone else said about leaving the loser...totally agree. If he gets busted you will be charged as an accessory to his crimes and go to jail! Take care of your baby and get out of there!

As long as you were not taking the drugs the child should be fine, however I would strongly recommend discussing this matter with your pediatrican or your doctor. Did you know that drugs such as cocaine and meth can absorbed into your child's body just from someone holding him/her? Many drugs can be transfered through skin to skin touch. In addition smoking any of those drugs around the child will affect him/her, it is the same as second hand smoke from cigarettes and is very dangerous and damaging to a young child.

why are u with someone thats doing drugs and being around ur child?????? That would make any kid have a bad temper when he sees what a fool the other parent is making being on drugs. Get rid of him and u will see how different ur child would be. Teach ur child that drugs are bad for you, not teaching ur child that its ok to do what daddy does, he has to be a role model to give that child a better life, not ruining it. If I ever found out that my husb/boyfriend, was doing drugs, i would of left him a long time ago, and not put me and my children at risk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if u weren't taking drugs then the drugs he was taking should have nothing to Do with her behavior PHYSICALLY but having drugs in the home or a parent on drugs has a lot of emotional scarring. Her bad temper could be lashing out to her surroundings. If he is doing drugs u need to get him help or kick him out.

I mean I'm not a doctor, but I believe that your child is and will be fine. Kids have tempers these days its unbelieveable. My nephew holds his breath until he turns blue, he is around the same age as your daughter and both of his parents are clean. Don't worry, but if it progresses just talk to a professional about it, in the meanwhile stop driving yourself crazy worring about her father habits having a affect on her, I'm sure you and the doctores would have known as soon as she was born even before.

Some drugs do cause genetic abnormalities in sex cells (sperm or egg) but your health is a greater determinant as you feed the growing fetus till she/he comes to term.
However I'll echo another poster here....what on earth are you doing with a smoking coke addict in your life. That is a receipe for disaster. Your child will suffer from the effects of second hand smoke (asthma, etc) and a volitile coke fiend could physically harm you and your child.

In most cases, the risks are associated with reduced fertility, not complications during pregnancy, says Zinaman (see Infertility). "Even chemotherapy hasn't been shown to cross through the seminal plasma into the woman and the pregnancy." (One exception to this is passive smoking: A fetus can be adversely affected by a father's smoke.)

If he never did the drugs around her there isn't a way it could affect her.

What are you doing with a drug addict if you are a "clean" person? Are you married? My guess is No! What is it with you girls having babies before you have a husband??? Are there no morals in this world anymore? Ask your welfare doctor about your baby's health and pray for the baby's sake that she doesn't follow in her father's footsteps.

honey your running risk here with having those drugs in your home like any drug your baby could get it's hand on them and OD. More then if he gets busted while you and your child are living with him your child will be taken by the state and you could face charges. leave now
