Are you asking for a immediate or long term solution? Is what you are asking for what you really want and need? How could psychiatric evaluation help? Since you know the answers keep up with the prayers. Also you may want to ask Saint Anthony for help-he is known as the miracle worker.

Prayer is something that you have to know who your talking to. "God" does not sound so promising the way you say it. I am a christian, and I believ in God. I read the Bible, and it comforts me. Do you go to church? Find a good one that you can connect to, like willowcreek, or watch on line services.

What do you pray about? Is it about things that you want? I want this I want that, won't get you anywhere.

First find out about God, and Jesus Christ. You will be surprised what the meaning behind it all is.

Prayer is a good thing. Keep at it. Close your eyes concentrate on what your taking about and have a conversation with God.

Think of all the pther people that are talking with him, that may have bigger problems, and that seem like they have no hope. Thinke about it. And thank God for all your blessings.

Choose Jesus Christ, God, and the Holy Spirit!

Well, it really depends on what religion you are. You should include that in your details. And by Muslim religion you should never insult god. Neither should you by christian religion. Love your god, not yourself. God isn't a person neither.

P.S. Why would you need psychiatric help?

I'm sorry I made a mistake, God could be a person i.e Buddha

well if you would stop being so obstinate then i can tell you why. God answers prayer three ways,
1. yes
2. no
3. wait
see just because we don't get our prayers answered the way we want them doesn't mean we need to stop believing and we should hate God. i know from experience that things i have prayed for and i didn't get them or it didn't turn out the way i wanted that it turned out to a good thing!! if i had gotten what i had wanted at that time it would have turned really bad. then because i was faithful and i didn't give up he gave me something better!! or i know that he will do something better for me. trust me you won't get a better therepist than the Lord.

Spiritual pursuit is more than praying to a force you feel you don't know/can't identify. You're not crazy, and you're not wasting your time.

IMHO, you're not less likely to have a prayer answered than anyone else.

What may be helpful to you is to do some reading and gain insight as to how you may want to focus your energy (meditation or prayer) and how you may want to cmmunicate your thoughts. Changing to positive language in our spiritual pursuits, for example, helps us internally be calmer and renew our energy - making us individually stronger and better able to deal with stresses (which may be a focus of our prayers).

That said, skip the psych eval and find some books that are compatible with your spiritual thinking - whether it's a religious book recommended by someone from church or whether it's a book on meditation and healing by someone more 'new age.'

We 'win' by stretching ourselves to approach things in more rewarding ways, not necessarily by seeing a result the first ways we attempt something.

Best wishes in your pursuits!

ps Just saw your 'atheist' comment. Are you truly an atheist, or more an agnostic? Many people 'start' life as agnostics. Skepticism can be healthy as we learn about the world. The existential tendency to be atheist is also understandable; people want to work from the notion that we are individually responsible for here and now and our lives, so concentrate on that. But, I appeal to you - consider further and understand that spiritual beliefs can evolve as one sees more of the world and understands relationships between man and nature, people and things. The 'mysteries' so beyond our science and clear definitions are reminders that faith is intangible but necessary for us, whether it's faith in ourselves that it's worth pursuing a degree or faith in unseen forces which led to the sun, the moon, and the stars. :)

Ha Ha Ha - you don't need a psychiatric evaluation, you need a self evaluation, you see praying is talking and approaching God, and those who must approach God must approach him with holiness. God is holy, and one of his foremost attributes is holiness.

The twin foundation of praying is ABIDING and CLEANSING. In abiding we must be obedient to his will while in cleansing we must always repent from our sins (Known and Unknown).

However we must also consider the following element of prayer such a) pray in Jesus name b) pray in Gods will c) pray in faith - if you put all this things into consideration, I don't see why God will not answer your prayer.

One thing more Gods answer prayer in the right time and in the right situation for his name to be glorified in you. talk to him as son talk to his father, after all he is our father and we have the right to call upon him 'ABBA FATHER'

you need to wait nothing happens all the time and you need to wait for god to answer you questions if you truly think that he will help you he will truly help you try praying a little bit more and see what will happen and dont think of god as someone who will just be there and do anything you will like you need to earn trust in life

Depends on what your asking. God is there to help comfort you and will mysteriously show you the way, he's not there to solve the problem. You have to look at what your asking and if your just not listening, the answers are there you if you look hard enough.

no, you need to improve your understanding of what and who God is and how to talk to Him.
God is Spirit, not a person.
if you have a personal relationship with God, Jesus Christ, He will hear your prayers.
here's how:
believe that Jesus is God and did what He says He did, seek forgiveness for your sins and make Jesus Christ Lord of your life and you will be saved.
