I have two chihuahuas and a cat at my house and the cat sometimes picks on my dogs and chases them around the house. I really wouldn't put them all together in a small space because the cat will be able to hurt the small dogs, especially if the cat has claws. Try to keep them separated.

Why are you even asking an idiotic question like this? Better yet, you have complete morons answering this question..."puppy chow", how stupid can you get?

Even if cats and dogs get along, they should NEVER be crated together. Especially with cats, they get very nervous and irate when crated, and they could take it out on the poor dog.

Amazing...some people should not be allowed to have animals if they don't even know the most basic things.

Any of my cats would crate with any of my dogs if it is necessary.

I don't usually crate my dogs but in the past have had to have the plumber over or utilities people that flip out so I crate them all. Keep the cat from escaping while people are going in and out.

Never crate dogs and cats together. There has got to be something different you can get to put the dog in.

Don't you have something better to do than this? This is known as animal cruelty, and is punishable by law. And, FYI: the cats would more than likely kill the dog! Now go find something PRODUCTIVE to do with yourself!

someone would report you for cruelty and you would go to court and lose your animals.
as to what would happen to the dog and cat..dog would probably get scratched very badly, unless they were used to each other...then they would just bark and meow until you let them out.

i don't think that would be very wise. dogs and cats like to fight, and if you care for either one of them. i don't think i would take that chance
