Are they any good? What is the advantage compared to normal pushchairs?
And if a 3 wheeler has a fixed front wheel doesn't that mean it will be impossible to steer?

They're too big and clumsy. All pushchairs are now way too big and mothers insist on bashing into you with them and running over your foot. Ban them I say.

Personally i cant stand 3 wheel pushchairs, i think the majority of them r big & clumpy, real clumsy- so ugly. Most have fixed front wheels- and yes that makes a mission out of turning corners etc. I cant think of any advantages 2 a 3 wheeler. Stick 2 4 wheels- after all if sumfin aint broke then dont fix it!

I had a 3-wheeler and it was great. Although the front wheel did swivel. For newborn, it had a sling arrangement until the baby was big enough to sit up, or, when he was older, for when he was asleep, so he could lie down flat.

The reason I liked it so much was that it went on all terrain - the beach, rough ground, pavement - and the other is that it is narrow at the front, and is easier to manouever around when you're shopping. It's less like a tank, like the four-wheelers. It had a tray underneath for carrying stuff, and folded up flat for the car.

i thought a 3 wheeler was going to b a nightmare, but i tried a friends one out and WOW! so light n easy 2 move! n yes...fixed front wheelers are pretty damn hard 2 move. i've got a urban detour one (mothercare, £159.99) u can get a car seat to go with. i think they are much better than ur bog standard 4 wheelers. only thing taht is a pain is going up a step somehwere.
mine will last me until my kid is about 4 yrs old if i REALLY want it too, its got a huge basket, came with the rain cover, seat cover (so u can machine wash that instead of fiddling with the material in the buggy) and bike pump cuz the tyres are inflatable ones. only real downside i can see is if i puncture one. and they are a bit bigger than a normal buggy, but not very much.

if ur still not sure go in a baby shop n try some out, or like me try a friends!

We loved our big wheeled, three wheel stroller. You just have to tilt the front wheel up a bit when you want to turn, no big deal. They are the greatest because when you are outside, they are easy to push through grass, dirt, gravel, sand, etc. Especially at those county fairs when there are hoses and cords everywhere or you hit a rock with a small wheeled stroller...brings you to a stop in a hurry.

we love our 3 wheel buggy. We took it onto the beach the other day to show our littlun the waves and to hear them. It was a little tricky but did wrk. Get one with a swivel wheel at front. Our has a lockable front swivel wheel. Good luck.

You can't put your baby in teh jogging type strollers till its 6 months old...they aren't good for newborns. No support for their backs. Even after...I ahve seen that kids don't like them as they are laying down, and can't sit up.
