Barbados is correct...only make the water as hot as you can tolerate using,the hotter the water the more it will loosen the paint...painting contractor.

Water down and then, using a white cloth or paper towel - blot until stain is absorbed and hopefully gone. Do not scrub as this may damage the carpet pile.

Try the carpet cleaner that has the Oxy Clean in it.

I was able to remove blood red nail polish from baby blue carpet.

I had to scrub like crazy, but it came out!

.........and frayed carpet fiber is better than a stain on the carpet anyday!

Using a mild detergent and warm water, scrub the stain and with enough pressure it should begin to be removed.
