What level was yours when you were 17, if you had them then.

I used to be a -10. A few years ago, I got lens implants (cataract surgery) at age 40 even though I didn't have a cataract problem. If your eyes advance quickly, I would recommend it, but not without your doc's recommendation first. He/she will advise you on the best age and correction level to have that done.
I was not a candidate for laser surgery if you are wondering.

When I was your age my left eye was -3.5 and my right eye was -4.0. But, I am now 21 with 1 kid and one on the way and I can tell they are worse, not sure how much worse but they are worse.

mine was -4.75 and -5.00...i'm 23 now and it's -5 and -5.25
