I know you shouldn't keep things from one another, but I'm afraid if I tell her she will leave me or give me an ultimatum to quit or else. We have been together for almost a year now. I've been hiding it for about 6 months. I didn't do it when we first started seeing each other. My addiction is dipping tobacco. What do I do?

I was in the same boat. My girlfriend at the time gave me an ultimatum. I kept it hidden for a while, but boy did I get busted when she caught me. It was a huge deal and I still have not lived it down.

Tell her about it and quit. The best way to quit is to switch to an herbal substitute to get you through the addiction. Try Hooch Snuff, as it is IMO the best one on the market. You can get it at http://www.hoochsnuff.com/

It has been my experience that a relationship where either side is not straight forward with the other is bound to fail. If it were me, I would tell her. Given the nature of your problem though, chances are she may have a clue that you are at least dipping on occassion.

As for the addiction itself, I would contact a physician to discuss possible ways to address the issue if you are seeking to change.

For real, it's not like your a crackhead. Be honest and tell her. As long as she never knew before just keep up what your doing - by not dipping around her. Doesn't not being able to dip around her put you a little on the short fuse side? (withdrawal from nicotine?) Maybe you should just try to quit.

I think it comes down to what is more worth it. You have a few choices: 1.) Tell your gf, and she will tell you quit or else...is it really that more important than her?Is it something you really think you can't get help with? If you can't try to give this up, then stop wasting her time and lying to her. It will only get worse (say you become serious and the thought of marriage is coming up). 2.) Dont say anything, keep lying to her, but dont expect her to be happy when she finds out (eventually, even if its years later, she will find out).

Overall, I think you should tell her. If she really loves/wants to be with you, she will try and help you through it. But you have to be willing to change, otherwise let her go now.

Good Luck

How can you hide that??

I dated a girl that smoked and quit while we first dated. She tasted like tobacco though. Yuk.

We broke up because she loved cigarettes more.

That is not such a bad thing...I think you should tell her, and if she gives you the ultimatum...well then, I guess it wasn't meant to be. It's not like you're hiding doing crack or anything!

why did no longer you think of roughly telling them whilst she became your lady pal. that does make it seem such as you're doing it out of spite. in case you had the erg to tell them once you have been relationship then that is while i think of i'd have mattered. If she truly has a difficulty then circulate forward and tell them in case you truly think of they'd do something approximately it.

There are ALOT worse addictions out there than chewing tobacco! You should definately tell her cuz us women are smart and do figure it out eventually. And once she does figure it out she's gonna be more pissed that you didn't tell her than she will that you're doing it!

Yes. If you love her dearly and truly, quit your addiction. Ask her to help you through it. Drugs is an abuse to the body. We are assigned by God to be steward of our body and keep it from defilement. Keep it strong.
