Because there are dominant and recessive genes for every single thing in the body.

When the DNA is forming some of those switches are pointing to dominant genes, and some are pointing to recessive genes. Which genes get turned on and off is different every pregnancy. Thus, siblings do not look exactly alike.

Siblings do not look exactly the same because of the way our genes combine. I don't know a more scientific way of explaining it, but basically, we each inherit traits from both sides. Each baby is started from one egg and one sperm. Not all of the eggs are the same nor all of the sperm. Each egg and sperm will carry different traits. So when they combine, each different time, each sibling will have different traits.
I come from a family where we all look different. I am used to this. And then for some families, all the kids look pretty much the same. (just different heights)
