Soap and water--lots of soap and water!

Tip: - When handling fresh chilies be careful not to touch sensitive areas such as your eyes. Even washing your hands afterwards is no guarantee to removing all the chili oil. I would recommend rubbing a little olive or vegetable oil into your hands before you start to give a protective barrier to the chili oil, but be careful with knives when you have oily hands!

Use cold water and ice if you can feel the heat of the chillies on your hand.

(( i had experience rubbing my eyes and my nose after chopping the chillies - it was a nightmare!))

Anything acidic will neutralise the intensity of chilli followed by scrubbing thoroughly with soap & warm water.

Soap and wam water. If you're unsure use a nail brush to make certain that you are chilli free.

First line of defense should have been the wearing of plastic gloves.

Now with chilis on your hands you should quickly but throughly rinse off with warm water and then scrub with soap and hot water. Dry them on a paper towel.

Wash your hands for 30 seconds with soap and water, and make sure the soap is anti-bacterial kind.

Wash your hands in tomato juice or ketchup to neutralize the acid in the peppers and then with warm water and soap to insure getting it all off.
