Most studios won't pierce you if you're 14 even with parental consent. Do you even have the right anatomy for it? Your body's still growing, which is part of why it isn't a good idea right now. In most states, you must be 18 if you don't have a parent to sign for you.
As for pain, it differs from person to person, but it mostly feels like a pinch. The clamps tend to hurt worse than the needle going through. I *really* think that you ought to wait for this one... it's really tempting for most to play with the jewelry and they don't wash their hands before doing so. You're supposed to leave it alone (save for cleaning it) until it's healed. Wait until you're a little older and perhaps get a nostril piercing instead.

It doesn't hurt that bad, but you will feel something. Its done and over with very quickly and the worst part is having a sore stomach for a few days. Just be sure to take care of the piercing and keep up with good after care.
I think you might be too young. Most places don't pierce anyone younger than 15-16 and they also have to follow state laws. Check what the laws are in your area, and call the shop about how they handle business with minors.

I got my belly button peirced on my 14th birthday, which was quite a few years ago. However, you do feel a slight pinch, but then there is no pain, and they are so darn cute. I love mine and still have mine to this day...they look great with a bathing suit in the summer. Good luck and hope you like yours if you go through with it.

Of course they hurt, but only for a little while. However, the bad looks go on and on. It's become a tweener fad i think, adn the guys I talk to don't like them. Same w/face piercing and esp tongues - very rapidly outgrown.

It does hurt and there is a high risk of infection. You will need your parents to sign a form wherever you go to get it done (for those under 16)

yes, ofcourse it hurts. for some days u will not be able to wear your pants also as it will hurt you. you have to wear them unbuttoned and unzipped.you will not be able to bend also for some time really well and have to sit with your rears pushed forward as you do in a car.
there is no gain without pain , so be prepared on your birthday this year to take a pain and enjoy show-offing it in the next.
best of luck n a very happy birthday in advance.

it hurts about as much as a shot. as long as your parents are ok with it and you are responsible enough to care for the healing, go for it. there is a ton of really cute jewelry out there for belly piercings.
