My McAffe Internet Security Suite updates have expired, I tried reinstalling it to get another year of updates but it knows...
Is there some way to 'trick' the system?
And its the 2006 8.0 version.

There is no way to trick the system. You are much better off without McAfee any way as that suite slows your computer down considerably and the security is not very good as far as virus protection goes. I would go with the lightweight free AVG antivirus and the free Zone Alarm firewall. Better protection without slowing you down and costing you a cent. For Zone Alarm, just go to download.com and do a search for Zone Alarm and the free version will show up.
