There is only one church that our Lord build on his name. And the churches that was listed in the book of Revelation typifies the type of people attending the church. It is a congregational revelation of the conditions of what kind of people attending the church.

During the apostles time, the church were build geographically (by location) as you can see and observed in the scriptures, such as the church in perganum, the church in smyrna, Philadelphia, Jerusalem, antioch etc. and it has no main office where the collection was brought. The collections was shared by all those who is lest fortunate member of the church, that is why the scripture says in the book of Acts 'and they lack nothing.'

Today the people name it as Baptist, methodist, presbyterian, penthecostal etc. with main offices. consider also other money making ministries with fake pastors and elders.

When I study evagelism, one of the teaching I could not forgert is SOMETIMES CHRIST IS CAUGHT RATHER THAN TAUGHT - which means we must put on christ to be seen. There is a big difference between the christ revealed in the Bible and the christ that is revealed in a person. because the latter can seen.

The seven churches described in Revelation 2-3 are seven literal churches at the time that John the apostle was writing Revelation. Though they are literal churches in that time, there is also spiritual significance for churches and believers today. The first purpose is to write to the literal churches and meet their needs at that time. The second purpose is to reveal seven different types of individuals/churches throughout history and instruct them in God's truth.

A possible third purpose is using the seven church to represent seven different periods in the history of the church. The problem with this view is that each of the seven churches describes issues that could fit the church in any time in its history. So, although there may be some truth to the seven churches representing seven eras of the church, too many people go into far too much speculation in order to determine which church fits which era. Instead, our focus should be on what message God is giving to us through the seven churches.

God Bless You

The condition of the churches

Commended with nothing against ( persecuted churches ) :
Smyrna Rev 2: 8-11: Materially poor but spiritually rich, enduring affliction, slandered and persecuted.
Philadelphia Rev 3:7-13: Open door, little strength, kept his word, had not denied his name, endured patiently.

Commended but with things agains ( threaths from within the church ):
Ephesus Rev 2:1-7: hard work , perseverance, has not grown weary, cannot tolerate wicked men but had lost their love.
Pergamum Rev 2:12-17: Live where Satan has his trone, Antipas was martyred, remained true to his name did not renounce their faith, but some hold to teaching of Balaam
Thyatira Rev 2:18-29: Have growing love and faith but tolerate false eaching of Jezebel.

Nothing to commend ( complacent churches ) :
Sardis Rev 3:1- 6 Reputation of being alive but spiritually dead. Wake up!
Laodicea Rev 3:14-22: Lukewarm, materially rich but spiritually poor, blind and naked. About to be spewed out.

Interestingly,That very thing is being studied by God's people as
we speak.(a quote)from[ Revelation Its grand climax at hand!]
"that number, ''seven'',is often repeated in revelation. It signifies
completeness, especially in connection with the things of God and
his anointed congregation.Since the number of congregations of
God's people worldwide has grown into the tens of thousands
during the Lord's day,we can be sure that what is said primarily
to the "seven congregations" of anointed ones also applies to
all of God's people today."(Rev.1:10)Some how I get the Idea
that you already know some of this information?

The seven churches , being in a circle, are examples for us today in the different doctrines taught today within the different denominations of Christianity. God tells us that the churches are the candlesticks and He also tells us that He is pleased with only two out of the seven. These two are Smyrna and Philadelphia, (types) that know and teach who those are that say they are Jews but are of the synagogue of satan (Kenites, which are the sons of Cain)

That's a lot of informtion!

The seven congregations did exist in John's day, so it would have applied to them, but also to modern day christian congregations.

Seven lampstands - seven congregations - Christians individually or collectively need to 'let their light shine before men' in this bedarkened world.

Ephesus were counciled that they had 'left the love you had at first' Rev. 2:4 They need to rekindle that first love. We today could do the same by making work, money or pursuit of pleasure first in our live. Thus we become fleshly minded rather that spiritually minded.

Smyrna was commended by Jesus. They had suffered much tribulation because of their faith. They are rich with spiritual treasures. They were told to not be afraid and to stand firm under persecution. Many true christians today have suffered because their faith, they too can be encourage to stay faithful like the Smyrna brothers.

Pergamum was surrounded by satanic worship. Temple of Zeus, Aesculapius the god of healing. They were commended for their faithfulness dUing persecution. At the same time, Immorality and idolatry had infilrated into the congregation. Since they have endured persecution, perhaps they felt that God would overlook their sexual transgressions. So Jesus makes it plain that they must shun such wickedness. Similarly today, Christians must guard against "turning the underserved kindness of our God into an excuse for loose conduct" (Jude 4) We are obiged to hat what is bad and to 'pummel our bodies' in order to pursue a ourse of Christian virtue. (1 Cor. 9:27; Ps 97:10, Ro 8:6)

Thyatira they are commended for their faith, but they were putting up with Jezebel who was immoral. There is the need to keep the congregation clean and to remove unrepentant ones from the congregation, who are influencing others. Also woman need to
show proper respect for headship arrangement.

Sardis congregation had lost their appreciation and love of the truth and are like a fire that has almost died out. Jesus encourages them to fan the spark, sitr up the fire, repent of the sins into which their negligence has led them and become a spiritually alive congregation once again. Or Jesus would come as a thief to execute judgement. Those taking the lead may fall into a spiritual sleep, but some individuals may strive to keep their Christian identity pure, these would have their name in the book of life.

Philadelphia has been active, and a door has opened before it - doubtless a door of opportunity for ministerial service. Jesus encourages the congregation to take full advantage of the opportunity to preach.

Laodicea they are lukewarm. Living in a weathy city, they feel confident because of their riches. They have come lovers of pleasure, rather than lovers of God. They are improvished spiritually. Today we must not allow materializm, riches or lack of riches to make us lukewarm.

To all churches, we should remain strong in our first love, Jesus.
We should not worship idols or allow harlots in the ministry.., the list goes on.
The bottom line is always 'if we overcome we will be ..., the list goes on'.

Maybe the real answer to this question is God still watches the churches and still judges them.

Yes.
Ephesus left their first love, that is God or His Word. God will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

EPHESUS – Rev.2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee

PERGAMOS – Rev.2:14 But I have a few things against thee

THYATIRA – Rev.2:20 Notwithstanding, I have a few things against thee

SARDIS – Rev.3:2 for I have not found thy works perfect before God

LAODICEANS – Rev.3:16 I will spue thee out of My mouth

__SMYRNA__

Rev.2:8-9 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the First and the Last, Which was dead, and is alive; 9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

I know the evil speaking of liars saying they are Jews but are of the church of Satan. “Ioudaios” means of the tribe of Judah or a resident of Judea.

Jews G2453 Ioudaios (ee-oo-dah'-yos) From G2448 (in the sense of G2455 as a country); udaean, that is, belonging to Jehudah: - Jew (-ess), of Juda.

Rev.2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Acts 1:3-5 To whom also He shewed Himself alive after His passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: 4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith He, ye have heard of Me. 5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

Ten days hence, Pentecost is fifty days from Passover, 50 – 40 = 10. Be thou faithful when delivered up to death, that is Satan and receive the crown of life, eternal life.

Mark 13:11-13 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. 12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. 13 And ye shall be hated of all men for My name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Rev.2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

__PHILADELPHIA__

Rev.3:7-9 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith He That is Holy, He That is True, He That hath the key of David, He That openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; 8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept My word, and hast not denied My name. 9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

Jews G2453 Ioudaios

Twice for emphasis, liars of the church of Satan are claiming to be of Judah.

Rev.3:10-13 Because thou hast kept the word of My patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. 12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from My God: and I will write upon him My new name. 13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Let no man take your crown, eternal life. Become a pillar an honorable member of support. Being Spiritually married to Christ and given a new name.

Ezek.48:35 It was round about eighteen thousand measures: and the name of the city from that day shall be, The LORD is there.

YEHOVAH SHAMMAH, THE LORD IS THERE.

He that hath an ear let him hear.
