I've never liked the idea of God focusing-on and caring so much about humans on Earth. When religions were formed, the Earth was a big as you were able to ride your horse and get back to tell someone about it. Once upon a time, the Earth was flat and the sun revolved around US, hehe.

Now, we know just how vast our universe is. There are trillions of trillions of planets that have the potential of life. Looking further outwards, there may be additional universes outside of our own...just as there are additional galaxies and solar systems, etc. The existance of mankind, nay, the existance of the Earth as a whole is only a SPEC of time in the entire existance of the universe...and even a smaller spec of time if there are additional universes from the past, present, or future.

The point is, if God created this infinitely complex multiversal (instead of universal) system, why focus so much on a "flash-in-the-pan species" like us who have only been here recently, and will be engulfed by our enlarging sun at some point in the future?

It'd be like owning the largest orange grove in the world, and caring only about the progress/failure of one single leaf on one tree for one hour.

God is god he is the creator of all things. He is all knowing and gave us choice we chose do sin or not to sin but because he loves us and is long suffering he gave us a way to redeem ourselves through his son Jesus. Again we can chose whether to accept or reject Him. Thus even though God knows that we are going to die sinners or not we don't and the way we live our lives will determine this fact.

I don't think God knows everything that is GOING to happen, but knows every concievable future that COULD happen. He knows, for example, that if you were to walk across the street to go get a bite to eat at your favorite burger joint right NOW, you would get run over by a truck and die. But He also knows that if you decided to go out a mere five minutes from now, you would avoid that truck hitting you entirely. Get what I mean?

His omniscience doesn't mean He knows everything that WILL happen, but every concievable path that the future can possibly take. Otherwise, you're right, He WOULDN'T offer the chance for redemption if it didn't mean anything to the irrefutability of the future.

Ok well... How do you reward people for being good if there is no bad? How do you propose that sin be cut from our plane of existince? Should everyone be condemned to hell for every act of sin that was commited with no chance for redeeming themselves?

Correction: how can he "give a chance" if everything that will ever happen already exists? There are no chances. There is only the coming to pass of what was inevitable.

Total divine foreknowledge is incompatible with real human freedom.

Many people struggle with this...it is a mind-bender! But God knowing does not negate our free-will or our ability to turn away from sin. God knows all because he is not bound by our time. He does not live with yesterday as the past and tomorrow as the future. For God it is all the same. He is not just power but love.

It's a difficult thing to explain...check out this great article:

You have chosies.. u can choose to sin.. or not to sin. God leaves it up to you. If you choose to sin.. thats when asking fo forgiveness comes in handy. Some people don't redeem themselves. God gives you the chance to...that's when the situation of HEAVEN an hell comes in. If you don't ask for forgiveness how can God forgive you?
BUT THANK GOD HE DOES ANYWAY..... i suggest that you try not to sin and if you do..ask for forgiveness.

(i noe.. i kinda sux at explaining this)

God knows us, and knows what kind of people we are. However, I do not think we are all "pre-destined" to do certain things. God knows are hearts and he also allows us to make choices. He wants us to learn from those choices. If we make good choices, that is great. But if we make poor choices, he hopes that we repent of those choices, commit ourselves to do better, and grow from our mistakes. Challenges, personal trials and afflictions can make us become better people, which God is hoping that we use mistakes as a way to improve.

he is testing everyone. who in the end is really going to stand for him. thats why he forgives because he know we aren't perfect, nobody is only him. you don't die as a sinner! if you believe in his word and his truth then really it's about your faith. we mess up but we all have that chnce to change.
