The sad part is they leave her outside ALL the time with no dog house (supposedly she won't use one), no cover, no open yard, no nothing. They have about a quarter acre lot but it's full of junk so there’s no room to run, just maneuver around. They left her out during a city wide freeze. Local stations (radio & TV) warned people to bring their animals inside at night. They even left her out in this huge rain storm we recently had. Her hair is knotted and ratted. It's sad!

The next part is annoying because they do nothing about her barking. She barks, howls, and whimpers about 12 feet from our bedroom window waking us up every morning around 7-8am until 9-10am EVERY DAY. I don't mind on days I work, be we haven't "sleep-in" in months!

We own our home so we can't just move like in apartments. I don't want to offend them, but I don't know how much more I can stand not only of the annoying barking, but of watching this poor animal be ignored and mistreated. Any suggestions?

You really need to call the cops and animal control. Search the animal ordinances for your city/town/county whatever, and you will most likely find that owners are REQUIRED by law to provide a dog with shelter. You need to tell the cops/animal control about this when you call. Also, it is really important for you to take pictures of this dog. Try to show the condition of the dog and te lack of shelter. While you are calling, make sure you tell them about the constant barking. There are noise ordinances, so animal control will be forced to come out to see the dog.

Please be a voice for this animal and make the phone calls..as many as you have to until this animal gets help. I certainly would if I was in your situation.

You should call animal control!!!!

This poor dog being left out in storms with no shelter from the weather is just cruel. Absolutely disgusting in my opinion. I'm sure the barking is the dog's way of yelling for attention and/or help!! That's no way to have a dog.

I strongly urge you to contact animal control, or your local police department to report them for cuelty to animals.

You can call Animal Control or your local humane society. What they are doing IS abuse, pure and simple. She is left out in extreme weather conditions, which is NEGLECT. Her coat is matted, and is probably very painful for her, which is NEGLECT. Neglect is a form of abuse. The neighbors don't have to know WHO called about the dog, but this poor dog MUST be taken away from these people. Why do they have a dog if they pay NO attention to her??? Call on them, just do it.

definatley call animal control and file a complaint. for the dogs well-being. ask if they can make an actual home visit. the owners sound like they need a wake up call by someone who means business.

people like that should be tied up out back instead of the dog.

really, what's the point of having a dog if you keep them outside all the time? no good.

Since it sounds like the dog isn't being properly cared for, look up your local animal control or spca and try to find out if your city has any regulations about animal care - some areas have regulations about chaining dogs and providing shelter for them.

Call animal welfare or the police and let them know. Tell them you want to be anomise and they will not tell them who called. But you need to call and quick before the animal dies. As for the sleep, I would love to sleep until 7 or 8 everyday... Those days are over for me... But seriously help the animal and that will solve both problems.. Good luck...

Call your city/county kennel or humane society and report it. You can't worry about offending your neighbor's if the dog's life is at risk. Saving the dog is the most important thing.

You need to call Animal Control and turn them in for abuse. They won't reveal who turned them in, it's totally anonymous.

That poor dog deserves a loving home where it can get the care it deserves!

I would call the local animal control and report them. They are abusing the dog, neglect is a form of abuse. It is not fair to the dog, or to you.

The first thing you should do is probably call the pound, but if you see that the pound will harm the dog then no Dont. Try calling the poice and then tell them to find a nice home for her, but dont lt your neighbors know you did this it will lead into a very bad plan if they find out.GOOD LUCK!!! bYe!!
