The best thing to do is take him to the vet - It could be as simple as a cold or complex as asthma

I know that some dogs get polyps in their nasal canal that can cause funny breathing, but normally they end up having a clear discharge with it. That's when the owner's actually notice and have the pet scoped. She could have a blade of grass or a fox tail or something stuck up there that is causing little fits every once in a while. In that case the vet would have to scope also.
If she continues to do this, I would definantly have a vet look up her nose, just an exam & then he'll tell you whether he thinks something is up there that they need to retrieve.

This was happening to my beagle. Its scared the crap out of me.I took him to the vet and they gave him a shot I dont know the name but the vet asked if we had him around other dogs or in an area where a lot of dogs go like a doggie park and well ya we did. It's some infection from dogs that dont have all there shots and well for some reason it affects there breathing. It cost about 35 dollors but it cleared him up in about a day i believe. I say the best thing to do is to make and appt with the vet which you should have one and let him be examined.

Hmmmmm.......could be what they call a reverse sneeze. My dogs snort, snore and make funny sounds while breathing through their noses all the time, however they are shorter muzzled dogs. Since your dog just started doing this around 2 weeks ago, you might want to consult a vet and have him checked out just to make sure it's nothing serious. Ask about the reverse sneezing thing. It's kinda hard to explain, but it could be what is happening.

i have no idle, my dog does the same thing, i think she has sinus in one side of her head, i alway get a warm cloth and keep it on her for a min. and clean her noise, my other dog has allergies and i dont know what sits it off. but he has trouble breathing and it will last for a few mins. wheezing. i bet he has allergies of some kind. my dog is 5 years old now. and still has that promlem. i dont think i would worry to much about it, you might can get him some king of med. at the vet. for it, good luck hope he gets better

I agree, you should have him vet checked. He could have the beginnings of an allergic reaction to something, a sinus infection, or other problems that might only increase with time. Better to find out for sure, that it is something simple or curable, than wait until it manifests into something more major like asthma or copd.

Sounds like a reverse sneeze which is perfectly normal. For peace of mind though, you may want your vet have a look at your dog.

Go to the vet. It could be a nasal cavity infection or it could be rhinitis.
