I was wondering what level contact lenses went up to, im moving further up the levels each year, (im 17 and am on -5.00) and was wondering if ill soon reach out of levels.

well i'm at -9.50 on my left and -8.00 on my right, and that was my prescription in 2003. I can't imagine what it is now.

wow -5.00 at 17. That is pretty bad. although you can get plenty worse. Acuvue currently sells up to -12.00 so you got some time son.. lol But once you are that bad i would recommend lasik eye surgery, i am researching it right now and have had a couple appointments for it. Before you consider it, do ALOT of research there are many setbacks that may occur due to different individual needs and problems. But anyways -12.00 is your answer.

Well... I think I was on -8 or something. LOL I forget, I got fed up with my horrible eyes and just had Lasik, and the pay off is GREAT, believe me! If you have the money, I totally reccommend it. If you have severe astigmatism, they might not get you to be able to see 20/20 though, but the vision is FARRRR better. I'm 20/20 in my right eye, and 20/25 in left. (My left was very severe astigmatism)

Well I have a friend who is at -12.25 and has them. I doubt it is likely that you will get that bad- I am about at your level and have been since I was your age. Eventually your eyes will settle.
I think you would have a hard time not finding contacts unless you were close to legally blind.
