what is a good lotion i can use to tone my face?

i have acne but it seems like it is going away but my face is still red from all those harsh products i was using on my face and i want to know if anybody out there knows a good lotion that i can use on my face that will tone my skin that i can go buy like at a store. oh yeah and does anybody know a good bar soap that can help with acne. lever, dove,dial,crest, which one can i use on my face and not be harsh to my skin because i have really sensitive skin. s.m.f lol

First off, don't use lotion on your face, use moisturizer - it doesn't clog pores and is gentler on facial skin. I believe Nivea has facial moisturizers for men (I know one of the major brands does).

Also, don't use bar soap on your face, especially if it's sensitive and you are trying to prevent acne. Try using a liquid face soap, like Neutrogrena Deep Clean or something similar to it - or if the acne is really bad, I think the original liquid Neutrogena facial soap (with 2% sacylic acid) really helps with breakouts (the liquid actually is similar in color to liquid Dial handsoap).

Be SURE to moisturize after you use a facial cleanser - if your skin gets too dry, it will start to produce even more oil to try to compensate so if you moisturize it, it will help keep things balanced.

Cetaphil or Aveeno are very gentle on the skin and recommended by dermatolgists. I am certain of this as I know from experience. You can purchase either at your local drugstore. Take care.
