No. The flu fecal-oral route which is why it is so important to wash your hands after going to the bathroom and before eating. Often people will wash their hands and than turn off the taps with their clean hands. This defeats the purpose of washing

Often people do not have the stomache-flu but food-poisoning. This is not contagious

LOL I'm sorry. I've spent too much time with my 5- and 3-year-old sons. The word "toilet" is funny to me now.

First, "stomach flu" is a medical misnomer. There is no actual flu that has to do with your stomach. You're referring to a stomach virus.

You bet you can catch it on the toilet. That's why it's so important to keep toilets clean (all of our toilets get a thorough scrubbing after someone has been sick to keep it from passing around the house), and to wash your hands. It could be that you're not actually catching it by sitting on the toilet, but when you flush, when you touch the faucet to wash your hands, and when you open the bathroom door, you could absolutely be touching stomach virus germs. Spray all those surfaces down with Lysol regularly, and when someone is sick. Also, I keep some of the antibacterial hand sanitizer with me to use after leaving the bathroom.

Yes, but as long as you wash your hands and don't put your hands to your mouth without washing your hands you should be fine. Don't sit on the toilet seat either.
