I think your best bet is to get some strawberry blond sections( lowlights) put through your hair, the tones of that colour in your natural blonde hair will look more natural and give it some warmth and depth.

red hair is a very very difficult colour to maintain so think long and hard on this one. I had white blonde hair but due to a colouring disaster had to dye it dark and I settled on red - the colour literally spewed out of it and I ended up dying it permanently red 3 times over a month and it still faded very quickly. As long as you are thinking about a short term change then go for it but be prepared to buy specific products for red hair to keep it vibrant and fresh. After spending a small fortune I am now back to blonde.
Good luck with it though - I hope you get the result you are after.
What about going brunette for a while? It's a lot less work!

I have natural strawberry-blonde hair, and add in brighter blonde and red highlights to perk it up. The red ALWAYS washes out first, as its really hard to maintain, so I would definitely have it done professionally. It's really flattering though, so I bet you will love it. Good luck!

think this through thoroughly...with natural blonde hair, if you do it and decide you dont like it, it will be really tough to reverse without any damage being done...i've been down that road! depending on your shade of blonde, try highlights or lowlights, they make a huge difference without being overly drastic. or try leaving the top blonde, with a darker color underneath if you're feeling brave.

Best thing to do is go to a wig place and try the pieces on you. See how you look in the shade of red you like.
Then memorize the colour, go to the hair salon and tell them exactly how you wanted your hair done.

You should seriously consider going to a beauty salon to get it done. Red is a hard color to get right and getting it done by a professional would be best.
