have taken up swimming and occassionally walk a mile a day too, are these going to help or make matters worse? and are there any other exercises i can try to slim my legs down? thanks.

also, what swimming technique is best for slimming and toning arms? i tend to do the front crawl more than breast stroke but which is better? cheers. x

ok, now we have the issue of how much weight i've lost in lbs, does anyone have any advice please??????

The best exercise to do to trim your legs is cycling as your weight is supported. Look at all the top cyclist - they have well thin (and very toned) legs.

For slimming and toning arms crawl is probably best but all swimming works to tone whole body so dont worry about which stroke too much.

you said you lost 4 stone but didnt mention how much you weighed or weigh now. regarding the swimming it would be best to vary the strokes as it will tone different muscles.
