When I'm in the locker room, I've noticed that most men (and I assume it's the same for women) place their gym bags, etc, on the benches instead of the floor. Bench space is scarce enough as it is, and I think that what bench space there is should be reserved for @sses. People put there crap on the bench and then traipse off to the sink to floss their teeth for a while, and nobody can sit on those benches.
Am I out of line to expect more consideration from others? How would you approach someone who was inconsiderate and tactfully tell them of their poor manners?

Why not simply ask them to move their bag so you can sit?

The bags should go straight into the locker, not on the bench or the floor. The floors are disgusting and need to be sprayed and hosed down often. And your right, bags left the bench are no good either. We had both lockers and baskets at one job where I worked. The baskets were on strings hanging from the ceiling on hooks and you would just put your stuff in there and hoist it up out of the way so people could sit.

It's ok so long as you are in the men's locker room. Beware of Hepitatis C. Do not walk around barefoot especially in the shower tall because you can pick up a lot of germs. Take this seriously. You may check out the medical problems people get from the gym.

when they walked away, I would place the bag on the floor and sit. If they didn't walk away, say something to them - excuse me, can I sit there? Hopefully that will be enough.

well, what i usually do is just leave my bags in the locker while i do my stuff, lock it or not, it shouldnt be on the benches! just leave it in the locker, whenever you are using or not using it! :-) that simple. you just dont block people's asses from sitting, not even you can block ppl's way from walking !

I'd just ask them to move their crap outta the way. If they continously ignored your requests, then nock their crap on the floor.

knock their stuff on the floor and sit. Just make sure you put a towel down before your bare ****.

i would throw the bags on the floor, then go through them when no one was looking and take whatever i wanted. that would show them.
