Valentines Day is one of my most favorate times of the year, and I expect to be romanced completlely and am constantly complaing to my man because he wants me to plan something so that I do whatever I want, so I'm happy. But I want him to plan it, thats all part of it, and he hasn't done anything and is leaving it in my hands cause its "my favorate day" and I'm miserable. He ordered me a $2000 diamond necklace, and already told me about it but it woulda been nice if it had been a suprise, as well as a bouquet of my exotic flowers that I like, which as well would have been nice as a suprise. Nothing is ....and I'm upset. Why couldn't he have planned something?? He's says he's scared he wouldn't pick the right restaurant and I'd get mad? Am I too much for wanting a special day with some suprises??

No offense, but it sounds like you're too high maintenance. You're man is scared he won't be able to live up to your standards... He obviously wants to make you happy, but he doesn't want to disappoint...
Tell him that you don't need expensive jewelry or exotic flowers, you just need him to plan a special evening for the two of you, and WHATEVER he plans, you are ok with it.
When/if he does this, you should acknowledge the effort, regardless of what he actually plans. Even if you don't like it, don't let him know, that will really ruin any chance you have of a future surprise.
Guys are not good at this type of thing, they think if they buy you something nice that's all it takes. Try turning down the expensive gifts and letting your man know he's good enough.

Valentines day is for women, it was created with the sole purpose of making men miserable because no matter what we do it won't live up to someone else's expectations. Store pound us with their advertisements belittling all men who don't spend their last penny buying some stupid necklace or ear rings. So yes, you want to much.

Forgive me for saying so, but you bring new meaning to the term "high maintenance". Step back and take a look at how generous this man has been with you and don't sweat the small stuff.

you are asking too much, make the day easier and more carefree, to high of an expectation it seems for you
why don't you plan a nice V day for your guy, so he does not have to risk you being angry with him picking the wrong place . . . don't put it all on him, trust me it wont work out you will be disappointed and he will feel inferior and upset, and that V day will suck!

Yes you are asking too much. He didn't plan anything because you are too demanding and nothing he would have done would have been good enough anyway. You should be kissing his *ss thanking him for spending that much money on you instead of b!tching that it wasn't a surprise. Wow, you are lucky he is even dating you.

You can't be for real - are you!!?? Spoiled brat that comes to my mind....I wonder what you are good at, since you set such high standards. To the guy in question: Run.... you are pussy whipped! Get yourself a GF that is not as materialistic and stuck up as YOU
