After a very nice period of 4 years,my boyfriend and I had some problems:he began having panic attacks and for almost a year I tried to help him and be as supportive as I could be.We used to talk for almost a hour on the phone and he descrieb me what odd things he felt.It was a very very stressing period for me and at the end we broke up,I couldn`t handle all the pressure and refused any help from him,no vacation togheter, just wanted to be as far from him as possible. In this case, did I overreact? How could he help me if I kept him away from me?But this is just what I felt.So how can we make this relationship still work? How can I change what I feel?

Wow! This is a difficult situation. It was nice of you to try to help him through it, but it sounds like he needs more professional assistance (nothing personal, he just needs somebody who does not have to see him all the time and still maintain a loving relationship with him). You can't change what you feel right now, but if you want to make it work, you have to speak to him and make him see somebody who specializes in panic attacks and the like. That is the ;only way you can continue staying with him (and still having a decent relationship).
Good Luck!!

you did the right thing. you can't make him happy if you are not happy. And you did all you could to help, but it didn't work.
