Well to answer your question, your answers aren't really very good, so maybe that's why you didn't do well on the score. Although I have never held much regard for these "quiz" questionnaires. To start with this, being a dentist requires dedication, compassion, business skills, managerial skills, people skills, artistic talent and the innate undeterred desire to help people from all walks of life with a multitude of dental problems that can affect their over all physical health. This also requires continued education to keep up with the latest technology to give your patients the utmost or highest standard in dental care. So you're not just "becoming a dentist" there is a whole lot more to it than just a title or the prestige of being a doctor. You may think you will enjoy wearing the clothing or PPE, but do you really know what that is? Then the "not mind" putting your hands in someone’s mouth, have you ever seen a mouth with teeth so badly decayed there isn't anything you could do to save them? The enjoy "drilling" on a patient. This one got me....do you think you would "enjoy" doing something to a patient that most patients are afraid of? Then "not mind" helping people to obtain good hygiene. This one should have been "enjoy" because you would be teaching someone how to avoid dental problems which is what all dentist strive to do. The "enjoy" working in blood and saliva, no one enjoys doing this it just come with the job and is something you have to deal with. You sound a little twisted with that one. And lastly the "not mind" working with all types of patients....a dentist desires and strives to help anyone who's in pain to alleviate it in the best way they know how. They use their skills, knowledge and talents to assist anyone and everyone and are proud to be a part of their community that provides a service to all who need it. So "not mind" really didn't cut it here. If you’re relying on this to decide if dentistry is for you, I would reconsider and do some further research. If you are really interested, talk with your own dentist and let him know of your desires. He will be more than happy to discuss dentistry to lengths and assist someone who earnestly wants to become a dentist. These questions may have been answered differently by you if given better choices to choose from or relied on your writing the answer. Who came up with these questions? If your serious and have a desire to join this profession, don't let what I've said here or anyone else change your mind. Becoming a dentist and being one is not an easy venture to undertake, it takes a determined and highly motivated person to achieve the title of D.D.S. or higher. It's an excellent career with the most gratifying benefits of any profession, that of helping people. Hope I’ve been of some help to you today and good luck with whatever career, in dentistry or whatever you decide to go into.

In response to your last remarks, I think that if you have an interest in dentistry then by all means you should pursue it. There are other areas in the field that may be of interest also; lab technician, sales representative, hygienist, dental assistant, office manager are just a few. These don't require a doctor’s degree but you might find an even higher interest in any one of them. All of these positions still require the same consideration and compassion and demand a certain amount of expertise that the doctor has and are just as rewarding and fulfilling. I'm not trying to discourage you in any way. Most people just don't realize the various areas involved in dentistry. I've worked in several and thoroughly enjoy the work. As I suggested before, talk with your own dentist and see if you can come in to observe a few days. Doing so will give you a larger scale idea of just what a dentist does every day. Good luck and I hope you'll take my advice!

I think it means that you shouldn't let a quiz tell you what to be.
If you want to be a dentist, some of the questions you answered are a good indicator that ;you may enjoy it.
If you don't want to be a dentist, I'm sure there are many other career choices out there for you.
Best wishes!

Let me ask you one question:
Do you mind sitting at one spot for 1 to 2 hours staring in an old lady's mouth (who never brushed in her lifetime) trying to clean particles from her dark, bloody, stained teeth while pieces of unchewed foods splashes all over your clothing while she keeps yelping every 5 minutes like a cry little baby and you are trying to work fast because your lunch is at 12:30 and its already 12:29 and the next appointment is at 12:45 which gives you 0 minutes for lunch and a short break before your next appointment with a "caveman".

You can be what ever you want to be in life. The quiz is only a guide for what you can be.

I would say not necessarily. How good are you with your hands, etc,? You have to be good with people and be reassuring, etc.
