Aaron being a breeder as you say for nine years how can you say she had a miscarriage. That is so unreal to me. You can't even say that without asking questions. First if the dog is allowed to go off by herself. If so she could have had the puppies with out anyone knowing. If she got bred in last days in Dec. she just might now be having her puppies. Being a breeder for nine years you would have know it takes 60 to 63 days to have puppies. Some late some earlier. Keep an eye on her Just me she maybe having her puppies very soon.

There are only two ways to tell, take her to the vet for an x ray, or wait and see. It could be a false pregnancy, which is not that uncommon. I would keep an eye on her, make sure she has no infection (pyomatria, infection of the uterus). If it is a false pregnancy she should get back to her old shape in a few weeks past when her 'due' date would have been.
