How are we using vent worms that live miles below the ocean floor in a completing self-contained ecosystem?

Any ideas on this one?

I don't believe that animals were put on earth for us to exploit. All animals (including humans) are just part of the food chain. And though humans are usually predators, we're also sometimes prey. If you doubt this, try swimming in shark-infested waters or get yourself locked in a cage with a hungry lion.

The answer is simple.God DID put animals here for our usage. The reason for the vent worm is something only God knows. If Adam had not sinned then we would be smart enough to know.(We need God's wisdom for these kind of things)

Maybe they keep other animals alive, which gives the fish food. Which in turn gives us food.
