Would you proudly march in a parade that included Christians of every imaginable denomination, Jews (conservative, reform, secular, etc.), Muslims, Buddhists, Unitarian Universalists, Humanists and atheists, Scientologists, etc. if the theme was "Celebrating Our Religious Diversity and Freedom of Thought, Religion, and Conscience"?

Why don't we have Freedom of Religion parades or festivals?

Misty, I'm not suggesting that Jews and Muslims are Christians. These are items in a series. Let me put it a different way. The parade is for anyone and everyone, regardless of religion or philosophy, who consider Freedom of Relgion or Belief to be among the most cherished of liberties.

I think it would be cool. There are fundamentalists and knuckle heads in all faiths, but I think a lot of them would not even participate due to the presence of other faiths. The ones that did show up might argue a little but the rest of us would probably have a good time. I'd show up. Hopefully we could have a big cook out after with chicken and vegetarian food so we can all eat together too.

Well, first of all "Christians of every imaginable denomination" would not include Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Humanists, atheists, Scientologists, Unitarians and the like...none of those you mentioned are Christian denominations.

So you mean just a "freedom to believe whatever you want parade?" No I would not participate.

I would proudly march if you brought the beer. Otherwise I wouldn't interfere. What you want to do on your time is your business!

Absolutely.

I'd be there - for that I'd even be willing to travel a bit just to march in it.

Nah, I'd be afraid of a Jesus Freak or a Muslim throwing a bottle at my head.

It would turn into a riot after the Christians started handing out pamplets.
