Educational Information about holistic doctoring:::In alternative medicine, a holistic approach to healing recognizes that the emotional, mental, spiritual and physical elements of each person comprise a system, and attempts to treat the whole person in its context,[1] concentrating on the cause of the illness as well as symptoms. Examples of such holistic therapies include Acupuncture, Ayurveda, Chinese medicine, Homeopathy, Indian Head Massage, Naturopathic medicine, Qi Gong, Reiki, and Reflexology. They usually do not originate from the western medical-scientific tradition.
Nursing schools in the US typically use a holistic approach, focusing on the all aspects of the patient instead of just treating an injury or illness.
Another approach is towards holistic living.

My grandfather told me once that he had gone to a holistic doctor in Russia over 60 years ago, and that they gave him "something to smoke" lol thought it was funny

It really depends on why your sick and what you're sick with. I've used alternative treatments several times and they've worked. Most recently and most notably, my chiropractor did Total Body Modification on me and cured some of my allergies. TBM can be used for a lot of diseases and organ related health issues. It does work.
