I work a full time job, have a photography business and a 4 year old son and I do on line classes. As long as you manage your time wisely, you should be fine.
My classes are through Axia College/University of Phoenix. You take 2 classes at a time...each "block" of classes lasts 9 weeks. The classes go by pretty quickly and haven't been overly difficult yet. I think I'm in my 4th block of classes. If you find spare time on one particular day, you can work ahead and complete your work for the entire week if you want to.

I've found some of the assignments to be a little ridiculous but, overall, I think it's worked out well. If I physically had to go to a classroom, I'd never get it done!

Good luck!

You can do anything you put your mind to. It won't be easy but if you want it bad enough you can do it. I am an online student through the Univ of Phoenix and it does take a self starter to do the work. What I like about online school is you can do it at your convenience although assignments are due by midnight the day they are due. If you stay ontop of it and do your work ahead of time everything will go smoothly. It is a commitment so think before you start because once you start if you back out you have to pay the tuition yourself and it can be very expensive.
Good Luck in what ever you decide.

Full time job and a 2 years old child? 2 years old can be soooooooo dependant and demanding...and you have to do well in your job too. When will you give yourself the time to read the courses and take the tests? If you can answer that, you can go on...the idea is a good one but I think you won't have time and energy...

You know I was wanting to do that too. I am tired and want to have more in my life. I have a 5 yr old and a baby on the way due in April. I would love to say I have a degree in something. Even if it is basic studies. I was leaning toward nursing, but would have to go to school here. I think you should go for it.. I wish you best of luck.

That's probably the best thing that you can do for yourself!! I myself am a recovering addict, mother of a 3 year old, working full time at a recovery facility and I have earned my Assoiate's degree in Criminal Justice, and am currently enolled in a bachelor's program in Business Management with an emphasis on Criminl Justice. If it is somehing that you want to do, I say ABSLUTELY!!! It does wonders for self esteem not to mention career advancement (especially for someone like myself at age 38!!) GOOD LUCK!!!!!

I think that is a great ideal. I returned to school after having my fourth child, and it was great. What I enjoyed the most was sitting at the dining room table doing our homework together. It was a great inexpensive way to have quality time with my children.

It also, gave me something to be proud of, to see my children take a interest in mommy returing to school. You could always go part-time as I did. So go for it, you won't know you can truly do it until you try, and I believe you can!

i have 2 little ones also. i'm 26 and have been in school for a few years now. i've taken on-line classes before. i don't usually reccomend them. i know how it is though when you're working full-time, going to school and taking care of the kiddos.
i thought on-line classes were going to be a piece of cake. in my situation, i found them to be more difficult. it's harder to read the info presented if you don't understand it. there was more homework also. i wrote a ton of essays when i took them too. when you take tests you have to go to the actual school to take them.
i'm all about women bettering themselves through education. i encourage you to do this! may i suggest maybe part-time work, or just one class at a time so that you can get the hang of it. don't overload yourself because then you will just loose interest. hats off to you! if you go, enjoy your classes! take a biology class (i took zoology), their a lot of fun.

sit and imagine about what you want to do, and what you're keen to do to get there. Then check out interest practise or associate ranges at your community community college. the most important aspect is to discover what's interesting to you. i in my view trust in the potential of steerage, yet you need to be keen to do the paintings. when you're transferring in route of a sparkling purpose which means some thing to you, then you quite will be in a position to do the paintings. once you're enthusiastic about a topic (even once you're basically excited because you receives a more beneficial advantageous interest) then you quite gained't grow to be bored or experience the urge to "slack off."

It sounds like a good idea :) It's online, so you can do it in your own time. If you think you can handle it, then you probably can - you are the best judge of what you can cope with! It will definately be a great achievement. Good luck with whatever you decide to do :)
