Over the weekend I got a surprise phone call from a guy i knew when i was in the 10th grade and he was in the 9th grade..we liked each other..but he like me more than i did him...since then i have not seen him and thats since 1997...he told me that he could not stop thiking about me and went back to my old apartment to see if i still lived there and he never gave up hope that he would see me again..MY question is if this happen to you..say if your first love or high school sweetheart got in touch with you...would you forget about your current relationship for that person..
ps.i guess the saying is true that its a small world..because the guy is my childs father mechanic..and they got to talking and found out he knew me....Please answer my question..thanks

Personally, I WOULD NEVER leave one person for another. That is just trashy. You didnt say if you were happy with the person you are with. If you are happy and havent had any major problems, Stay with your man. IF you are unhappy in your current relationship, and PRIOR TO THIS you have considered leaving him. Do it... BUT DONT DO IT FOR SOMEONE ELSE! If anything, you can be friends with the high school guy. Im still friends with my high school sweet heart. Im better friends with his girlfriend now however. Babygirl, wrong place and wrong time.
You have to pay attention to details here.
You have a child and he is the child's father's mechanic.
Spells nothing but trouble. Are you willing to go through all that?
It's nice to remember a crush from high school. Everyone has them.
Nothing wrong with that, but remember those are memories.
It's too late in life to rewind time as the both of you may have grown in different ways and probably wouldn't get along like you would have in high school.
I'd say tell him you're flattered, but it's not the right time for you.
If you stay friends, remember to keep your distance because if the child's father finds out - he's going to feel betrayed. THEN, there's really no stopping drama then.

I dont believe there is nothing wrong with been friends, but he want to take it to another level then i would say no. After all it have been a couple of year and you are currently in a relationship. If he is not willin gto keep it as a frienship the i say leave him alone. Also i would let my boyfriend know the situation so there would be no nedd for drama

well i think thats a very sweet story and all, but the only thing that holds me back from telling u to go for it is that ur currently in a relationship and if i understood correctly u have child with this person? unfortunately we make certain decisions during out life times that closes certain doors on us, and i think u closed the door on this one. i think u guys should just be frendz, but even then i see u 2 falling for each other and hookin up. so u gotta be real careful and repect the person ur with right now. if things change in the future then go for it, but dont make things change just cuz u wanna be with somebody else.

def give him a chance, at least go out once or twice to make sure he is normal and has no obssession over you and then realize that there is a reason why ur connected again after all this time
