I know alot of Christian Scientists who believe in Theistic Evolution. I see this as a current trend amongst members of the Scientific Community. What do you think about it? I at least from my own personal scientific views think its a step in the right direction. Opinions?

I agree and Disagree with some of your answers, Bubba I agree that if one part of the bible is wrong then what else could be wrong...thats a huge reason that people with sound logical minds don't believe it.

The problem I see with the concept of Theistic Evolution is the fact that it makes the Book of Genesis a book of lies. Now if one part of the Bible can be wrong, what about other parts? What if the part that says "I am the way, the truth, and the life" is wrong too? What if the part that says, "I go to prepare a place for you", is wrong? You need to either believe the Word of God for what it says, or reject it, but DON'T rewrite it to suit your own beliefs.

I understand theistic evolution, and it is illogical. First of all, it is merely an attempt to marry God to an unscientific and illogical theory that doesn't even have any strong evidence to support it in the first place. Secondly, it does not fit with Scripture. If one claims to be a Christian AND and evolutionist, he is a hypocrite, because if we came from animals, then there's no such thing as sin, and if there's no sin, then Christ died in vain, and their faith is also in vain.
Also, some hold to the Day-Age theory, which believes that each day of Creation represents a million years or more. So those poor plants that were created on Day 3 had to wait a million years for the Sun to shine! Not to mention all those symbiotic relationships between plants and animals that had to exist no more than a few days apart in order for them to survive. Also, some people believe that there was an era of millions of years of evolution before Adam and Eve existed. So, when God said that everything was "very good", was Satan already the Prince of this world and Adam and Eve were standing upon millions of dead things? I don't think so. God made everything exactly the way He said He did. There's no need to fuse a perfectly good Bible with a stupid theory like evolution.

At what point would God have endowed man with a soul?
Evolution is a man-made idea, and is found no where in the Bible. As a matter of fact, the Bible says that man was made in God's image, in God's likeness. Are you saying God looked more like a chimp?
Do you honestly think that Almighty God could not create man in his present form, that He needed to "make adjustments"?
Theistic evolution is a "compromise made by wishy washy people that want to waffle on the truth, and try to win the friendship of the world."
If you, in an argument(theological definition) compromise from your position, it is no compromise, it is surrender. You have lost ground and have not come any closer to delivering the truth.

i think bubba hit the nail on the head. common Abrahamic Religions will usualy toss out all theories that will proove the book of genesis wrong. personally i think if there are many believers of thiestic evolution, they would be outside of the abrahamic religions (pagan or gnostic based).
while i may not be Christian, i do believe you are correct and Thiestic Evolution is a great step in the right direction.

Its definitely a step in the wrong direction
theistic evolution does not agree with the order or timing of creation and does not explain the fall or the catastrophes in the Bible
all in all its a major compromise as is a view of stellar evolution though the big bang

Evolution only occurs within the same specie. Small changes occur and that is it. We have the monkey and Man. Nothing in between, nothing before. Yet all these conclusions are made, even though there is no evidence of these trillions of fossils that should be there, since the Earth is supposedly 4.5 billion years old. The theory of evolution is a joke. Only a person who doesn't want to believe in God, must believe this nonsense.

Don't know much about it....
I'll stick to the creation truth written in Genesis. Anything with the word evolution in it throws a red flag up in my mind.
