This has little to do with oil, money, troops, 9/11, WMD's Saddam, Al Qaeda, Shiites, Sunnis, or Iran. And more to do with 2 words World Empirialization.
The facade is a poor one and it is becoming more evident as tensions rise with all involved parties that something is definately going to happen.
My advice? I will never go to anyone else's home country with the intention of harming anyone even if it is to stop a rebellion, jihad, mass killings, or other violent non-sense. There is no benefit in it for me and according to cost-benefit analysis anything that takes that much time, effort, and possibly pain has no place in my life.
The only reason I will fight is if there are attacking forces on our soil and actively persecuting our people. I'm talkin tanks and troops and invasion type stuff rolling through the midwest is the only way you are getting me to start killing people.

I believe I would not go. Not long ago I would have said that I would go no question. I have learned a lot, and this war was based on a series of lies. This war was not to keep us safe, or strike back for 9/11. This war was not to spread democracy or to protect our own nation. It was to promote the imperial agenda of some policy makers imperial agenda.
Anybody who thinks we went in there to spread democracy is living on a different planet.
EDIT IN RESPONSE TO to bayouborn81:
I did not say that I was cool, or imply it. The question was simple, would you go. I answered it honestly, and apparently not to some peoples liking. Second I would be a coward if I went, it takes more balls to defy the order. If i stayed people like you would harass me for a long time.
You seem to have military experience, so in your closed mind anybody who hasn't served or wouldn't want to is a panzy. Anybody who disagrees with you in your closed mind is an idiot. I sir, unlike you, am not in a rush to become a pawn on George Bush's chess board. I think it is patriotic to think, not be in a rush to kill whenever the president says go get em.
Think for yourself for once. All you redneck conservatives, just stop and think. The president does not care about you. Simple fact. He (along with other politicians) will lie, send you off to die, and if politics would allow it he would have a draft and send in far more than 20,000 more troops to Iraq. I don't know why people don't seem to understand this. Question your government, they have lied before and will do so again.

Absolutely! I support my commander-in-chief and will do as I'm told. Some folks are too short-sighted to see that it will take 2-3 generations to turn Iraq around and the media is LOSING this war for us. Stay the course USA!

I would point out that the reason I retired was because I became 'nondeployable' as a result of my last trip to Iraq.
But if I were needed in spite of this, I would go and not complain.

since people are VOLUNTARILY in the US military, they accepted and agreed to the fact the Commander in Chief can send them anywhere he wants unless Congress disapproves. So YES.

I'd stay and fight the order. I want my death to mean something, not meaningless by making some rich people richer by fullfilling some failed agenda.
