Copy them into Excel in Column A... Data > Sort by the names column. Then in column B, drag down this forumla.

IF(A1=A2,"Dup","")

Then look for any instance of the word Dup in that column.

Import the list into excel with each email address on a seperate row. Then sort the 'database' of rows and columns using the column with the email address in it as the main 'key' or 'index'.

Once this is done you can manually look through the list and find the matches. You can simplify this by using a IF function with the following steps. This assumes the email addresses are in the 'A' column and the list starts at row 2.

1. Click on the A Column header and insert a column. The email addresses are not in column B.
2. Click on B2 and then Shift/Click on the lower right cell of the 'database'. Then Data/Sort the records.
3. In A3 put the following formula: =IF(B3=B2,"*","").
4. Copy this formula in A3 all the way down the worksheet.
5. Now any duplicate email address will be highlighted by an asteric (*) in the A column of the second record found.

Hope this helps and good luck!

In Excel, you can sort columns alphabetically. Go to Data, then Sort, then choose the column you want to sort by.

If you just need to know if a particular email is listed twice, you can use the Find feature in Word or Excel--it's in the Edit menu.

If you place them all into individual cells of Excel - copy and paste should work:

Start one row down from the top - ie. row 2.

Then click the blank cell above the list and then go to:
Data
Filters
Auto Filter

A drop down menu should appear and will let you decide how to arrange the data.

You can also use the sort function which should be on the tool bar - a logo of an "A-Z" and a small arrow.

In excel you can do this; just make sure they're all in the same column. Click on the top of the column so the whole column is highlighted, then go to "data" on the top menu. Select "sort." It will then ask how you want them sorted.

Put them in Excel, and hit the 'Sort Descending' button. (It has the letter A and Z in blue and red with a little arrow next to them)
You don't even have to go into any menus, there should be a button right on the main page.

Go to "Data" and select "Sort". You can then assort it ascending or descending. If you have a form with multiple fields (From left to right), make sure you choose "Expand the selection" so it will apply to the entre document instead of just the one column you have selected.

in microsoft word you can select all your e-mails if they are written one below the other and then clik on the sort button which you will see on the top menu bar. you can choose to sort them in ascending or descending order.
as for knowing if any e-mail is repeated you'll have to do it manually.
wish u luck.
