They are all very lovely islands and the caribbean people are very warm and friendly people. They can all be affordable if you choose your activities and hotels wisely. I will recommend Antigua though, but you'll be please with whichever one you choose.

Antigua is a wonderful destination - 365 loverly beaches, water so clear you can see your toes, warm friendly island people and if you truly want to get away from it all the sister island of Barbuda would be a nice choice. See links below for more...

I have to promote Barbados because I live here and love it. I am a Canadian and used to go to the Yukatan - awesome place for exploring history and water sports. But Barbados is also very nice, has very interesting history and lots of really fun things for teens and 21 to do. Stay at any of the hotels on the south coast and you are close to everything the family will want to do. Buses are great, cheap and run often - for $1.50 you can go anywhere on the island.

Nassau Bahamas where you can stay at Atlantis. In my country you can have lots of sun, sand and turquoise sea. You can also swim with the dolphins, mingle with the natives and have lots of duty free sopping. Have fum on your vacations.

PS ..You can also stay at the Nassau Beach Hotel. It is less expensive that Atlantis and there are lots of activities you and your kids can do. The hotel is not far form the downtown area where there is the famous Straw Market.
