If I was your mom you'd lose your phone.
Her house, her bills, her rules.
You ought to conduct yourself as if everything you do is your mother's business, because it is as long as you are living under her roof.
It is her job to see that you get to adult hood safely and able to make reasonable decisions on your own.
Good for her.
Oh and in answer to your question, first I think you are really asking if it is alright to be mad at her.
No it is not, you should be thankful you have a mother who gives a hoot about you. So many children do not have that privilege.

Well if you give your mom a reason to not trust you or believe you, then Yes she does have a right to listen to your phone convo. Obviously what you and your friend were talking about was something serious that your mom needed to know about.

all this about privacy is what has spoiled many relationships between parents and kids, your mother is listenning to your conversation to protect you, it seems you hide things from her and this is the only way that she can find out about it. If you want privacy go and pay your own expenses, until then be a nice girl and respect ;your parents, usually they just want the best for you and most of the time they are just scared about the world out there.

Of course it's all right not to be mad this may even help keep some stress off your relationship with your mom.

Yes, I would be too!! She shouldn't have been spying in the first place. If she was respectful she would have asked you herself if she suspected something was going on with you in the first place.
