i would want to learn japanese but i was hopeping that there was a free way to learn it. i just want to learn a third language. i know English and spanish i want to know my third language.

erm - I guess it would depend on where you are based. I think its pretty difficult to learn a language without hearing it. Also with Japanese you are looking at non-Western character set to learn as well. I guess I'd try and pick up a basic teach yourself book second-hand initially and then try to see if you can meet a native Japanese person in your area who wants an English (or Spanish?!) speaking partner.

alternatively many universities/language colleges here in the UK do reasonably priced evening classes.

Out of interest why Japanese? you could just search the web for online courses too e.g. http://www.urbanjapanese.com/
